Not until we know all the results but it's headed that way. If the Tories don't get the magic 326 MPs we have a hung parliament.

chabbychic · 07/05/2010 05:56

I think that's the way we're heading.

can labour win???

No. But, as sitting PM, GB can opt to hold onto power if he can form a coalition with the LDs.

nighbynight · 07/05/2010 05:58

No, but they can form a coalition with another 1 or 2 parties to govern. Wont be as stable as if they could govern by themselves, but better than letting Cameron, Osborne et al in.

Chil1234 · 07/05/2010 06:00

It's already been dubbed 'a government of the losers' if we are saddled with a Lib/Lab pact.

MrsLiberalTheWaitress · 07/05/2010 06:02

Lab plus LD is now a majority. Keeping my fingers crossed as I think that's the best outcome IMO.

MaBella · 07/05/2010 07:27

If the tories win I am actually going to cry!!

No disrespect to any tory voters

OP posts:
Chil1234 · 07/05/2010 07:38

They've won on the basis of being the party with most seats already. Not a parliamentary majority but quite a significant shift in support.

Chil1234 · 07/05/2010 07:40

Oh yes... and Lab + LD might not have enough seats for an overall majority even if they stick together. This time it really isn't over until the fat lady is gargling on the TCP
