Just starting this so that we can all post our thoughts throughout the day.

My wish for today is that as many people as possible GO OUT AND VOTE.

I cannot vote as I have been living abroad for over 15 years so if anyone wants to vote for me, I would like to vote for Gordon Brown. Voting by MN proxy

I'm wearing purple. That'll confuse them.

toccatanfudge · 06/05/2010 10:03

I'm wearing a black top, blue jeans and will have my pink Converse on.

DS1 is in Green and Black, DS3 will probably be in red and black

Fantastic link StewieGriffin'sMom!

Who'd of thought it of the Times. Love this bit, and how right they were predicting this back in 2008.

"As a result, this country will now probably behave like a bunch of ungrateful children at the next election and sack Brown in favour of some shallow, perma-tanned oik who will enjoy appearing on Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Take-away, duetting with Leon Jackson on an Ace of Base medley."

Please post that on some other threads, especially the depressed Lefties one.

WhatWouldMadonnaDo · 06/05/2010 10:14

StewieGriffin'sMom would you post it on the 'best party' thread just to give a bit of balance to the Times doommongering today?

Nymphadora · 06/05/2010 10:17

I am gutted that there is no way I can stay up & watch bloody pg tiredness means I'm lucky to be up by 7pm!

I have an election app on my phone to keep checking in the night

ShadeofViolet · 06/05/2010 10:21

I am going to have to watch on my laptop as DH has bagged the big TV for cricket tonight.

Any party that promised to get rid of all the sport on telly would get my vote!

hattyyellow · 06/05/2010 10:24

Sulking horribly as we can't vote until the end of the month as one of our candidates died. And by the time we do get to vote everyone will pretty much know who will be running the country. And our consituency is a very safe Tory seat.

flowerybeanbag · 06/05/2010 10:27

I've voted, and took my dog with me! We had to go past the polling station on our walk this morning so I thought it was worth seeing if they'd let me take him in rather than coming back. Of course by the time I reached someone I could ask I was already in...

AbsOfCroissant · 06/05/2010 10:31

This was also rather apt: "The electoral process now seems to be slaloming towards some manner of X Factor cabaret, whereby you can run this country only if you can both triumph in an Abba medley and cry on cue about your dead nan."
