Just starting this so that we can all post our thoughts throughout the day.

My wish for today is that as many people as possible GO OUT AND VOTE.

I cannot vote as I have been living abroad for over 15 years so if anyone wants to vote for me, I would like to vote for Gordon Brown. Voting by MN proxy

OP posts:

or even

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/05/2010 14:28

Cartoose - are you a young Tory?

Fowl - I think you are a left leaning tory. (beer takes you left, m&s takes you right)

am having cheese and biscuits and port. (I think I shall feel sick tomorrow) but i think half the world knows who I support

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/05/2010 14:29

tocaato - your choice makes you sound like a New yorker!

BecauseIAgreeWithGordon · 06/05/2010 14:30

Have voted. And just sent DS1 off to vote for the first time!

Cartoose · 06/05/2010 14:31

X in the box next to OhYouBadBadKitten's name. Correct

InmyheadIminParliament · 06/05/2010 14:32

Fowl - your election food says that you should definitely invite us all round, or at least hand round the mini cakes.

abr1de · 06/05/2010 14:34

toccatandfudge--glad you got through it!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/05/2010 14:38

blimey BIWI, big day!

remember the first time I voted. Kind of expected a fanfare or congratulations or something afterwards

TheArsenicCupCake · 06/05/2010 14:45

Have managed to get out and vote.. So my mark is down. I did buy a nice bottle of White and some cheeses, olives and grapes for snacking on tonight.. Which I now sadly can't have... Grrr ( they are on the table loveys.. Help yourselves )

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/05/2010 14:50

Arsenic what a bummer - how are you feeling now?

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 06/05/2010 14:55

Hi everyone! Voted this morning, strangely looking forward to this evening: fingers crossed the Tories stay out of power!

TheArsenicCupCake · 06/05/2010 15:43

Oybbk.. Not too bad.. Bit like I've been run over by a truck and very very tired.. But a lot lot better.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/05/2010 16:03

not surprised that you feel so very tired. only had one experience of morphine and it took me a good couple of days to feel more awake and that was with out the most horribleist migraine in the world. take it easy and rest for longer than you think you need.

Cartoose · 06/05/2010 16:07

Sorry to hear that ArsenicCupCake. Rest up.

mspotatochip · 06/05/2010 16:11

have already voted lib dem by post, hoping kids go to sleep early so I can have a nap until about midnight. I reckon we should have an idea how things are going by about 4am?

I'm honestly scared silly of a conservatrive government being an immigrant public sector working unmarried parent!

(off topic oybk how is your shoulder>)

dueverysoon · 06/05/2010 16:37

I wonder what actually happens at 10 Downing Street following the election? Just seen this funny advert on Twitter! www.anyjunk.co.uk/blog/uncategorized/house-clearance-at-number-10

toccatanfudge · 06/05/2010 16:38

facebook "I have voted" count is now up to 803,000

(mspotato - have been referred for physio with review with surgeon in august. tis sadly a lot worse at moment cos my burnt hand means I'm having to do everything with the dodgy shoulder arm (which is what contributed to the burn happening in the first place) sleeping is a bit pitiful atm.
How is yours doing?)

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/05/2010 17:13

Anything exciting happened while I've been away?

mspotatochip · 06/05/2010 17:38

(I thought physio was waste of time for "known tears"? arrrghh its such a bother but the surgery doesn't sound like the easy option either. I was over the moon for ages after cortisone shot worked for a while but its worn off now, back to surgeon in June. Next step is a "look see" apparently)

Trying to decide what election snacks to send dp out for.................

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/05/2010 17:54

(surgeon said it wasn't torn. Am a bit at gp who said it was when ultrasound chap said it wasn't but there you go. surgeon seems to be going for impingement. bugger for you did your surgeon mention that they might do 'a bit of a trim' while they are having a look?)

doritos and dips!!!!!

toccatanfudge · 06/05/2010 18:07

facebook "I've voted" counted now over 1 million

sungirltan · 06/05/2010 18:22
