What the tories say and what they really mean

Great post jac - and only a few weeks ago Cameron's MEPs voted against a gender equality bill in the European parliament: a bill which was supported by all but a small bunch of right wing nutters.

Re the inheritance tax issue - we are one of the small number of people who would benefit from Tory policy. We live with my mother in our old family home and when she dies (she is 81) DH, DS and I will stand to lose our home under the current regulations. We will have to sell to pay the inheritance tax.

But hell will freeze over first before ANY member of this family would ever ever vote Conservative.

Just general. Think my sentiments are well expressed by Molesworth and others ... .
