if you want to help campaign against the BNP, then google 'hope not hate' - they will provide lists to enable phone canvassing of the great people of barking and dagenham, many of whom, including a young single mum of 3 in a revolting flat with mould everywhere, siad she was desperate to be adequately housed, that her children were ill from the damp and the mould, but that 'I'm not interested in the BNP, I'm not racist' - that people in such extremes of poverty can stick to their principles and maintain their dignity is just so awe inspiring. i cried when i watched that girl on TV - think it was dispatches last week. Daftpunk, she puts you to shame.

the BNP aren't trying to attract the white vote though, they're just another political party, not an organisation trying to encourage people to vote.

the fact is that black people are in a minority and clearly need to be encouraged to vote. it's the same in other countries too, look at America. When Obama was voted in the number of black people voting rose dramatically... which means that al this time they haven't been voting.

my parents are catholic. Strong ones. Irish ones. Oh shit... they are immigrants too. They do not adhere to the 'british' religion (which, by the way is prodestant).

Maybe they have neighbours like you, DP, and think that their voice doesn't matter and won't change anything.

Or maybe - like parts of the Gaelic and Welsh-speaking communities - they are not fully functional in English and do not understand all the ins and outs of the system as presented to them in that language.

Or maybe, just maybe, they DON'T need extra help. Maybe they traditionally CHOOSE not to vote but the majority of us WANT them to vote because we are INTERESTED in their opinion.

Riven I've had a look through their manifesto and I don't think finances are their strong point.

It all boils down to being the immigrants fault, from global warming to MRSA, so all you need to do is send them all 'back' and all the country's problems are solved.

love the overpopulation talk LOL, imagine how over populated it would be if every ex pat brit was dumped back here where they have no jobs or homes and where they DONT WANT TO BE, in return for all the foreigners who were sent back from britain!
