The average voter has 3.85x more voting power than me.

My constituency is 460 out of 650. It's an ultra safe one .

Where we are hopefully moving soon is much more interesting as it is very marginal, seat number 22 out of 650. Pity I won't get to influence what happens there but will be interested to find out

I have 3.27 constituency ranks 37 over all.
Which is why we have had Gordon Brown here briefly and Alex Salmond yesterday. It is also why I am shattered having done something for the campaign every week for the last year and every day for the last couple of months.

VinegarTits · 04/05/2010 10:59

My vote counts for 0.030% because I am in an ultra safe seat. Labour have a majority of 10,000.

I'm still going to vote Lib Dem though! I will not be too annoyed when our labour MP gets returned to parliament, because he seems like a good MP and as a person I like him. It is just a shame that he is labour!

TottWriter · 05/05/2010 13:24

We're ranked 523rd. I have 0.044 of a vote.

Golly, don't I just love living in the South East...

Still, I live in hope that there will be some swing this year - our outgoing MP is Ann Widdecombe, and the replacement tory has the disadvantage of once belonging to the Labour party. (The Lib Dem candidate was also the guy who started the Gurkha campaign, so he has some weight.)

I am such a hopeless optimist, aren't I.

cassell · 05/05/2010 13:45

I have 0.018 - that's pretty rubbish! Won't change who I'll vote for even though it clearly won't make any difference. Interesting site though

helyg · 05/05/2010 13:52

I have 4.83 times more voting power than the UK average. We are the 2nd highest in the country.

It is a very marginal seat (incumbent MP has a majority of 219) and the constituency is also smaller than average so each vote has more power within the constituency.

However, as I wrote yesterday in my mumsnet marginal blog, as the two main parties here are Plaid Cymru and the Lib Dems with Labour and the Tories far behind it doesn't make a whole lot of difference nationally.

0.212 I thought that was pretty bad?
