Hi, I'm new to Mumsnet and looking forward to getting to know people. I'm a single Mum to 3 children, including William who is 5 and has complex health needs (had a bowel transplant in 2008) mild cerebral palsy and Asperger's Syndrome. We've been involved in this important campaign against the Conservative's Marriage Tax Allowance and the prejudicial message it sends out.

Hello, Sarah. I loved that video. Well done on your involvement in that campaign.

While I wholeheartedly dis-agree with this tax allowance, I can't promise to give it to charity, should the Tories come to power.

A lot of people seem to have popped up on Mumsnet to campaign, lately...I hope you stick around, Sarah.

Thanks Blouseenthusiast (great nick-name!) I'm so proud of my children on that film. I love the ending. Trust a 5 year old to make the point so well and break from the script. I'll stick around Lynette I've been meaning to join for ages and am looking forward to chatting to other Mums about trivial stuff as well as coping with some of the meaty stuff like autism and single parenthood.

Hi sarah...i have 3 boys with AS...welcome to MN!!!

SarahEMilne · 30/04/2010 10:19

3!! Oh my goodness. I bet there's so much I could learn from you! We are still waiting for a formal diagnosis but Wills has a of issues so sees a lot of people and every doctor, teacher, physio, OT.... everyone involved in his care say it's clear he has AS. I have to wait about 8 months to get that formal bit of paper that will enable me to get us onto the Early Bird Plus scheme etc.
When he has a 'flid' he has it in style! How on earth do you cope with that in triplicate?
