Third Leader's Debate - BBC 29th April

In anticipation of tomorrow's TV debate, MN will be launching a fifth poll of Mumsnetter voting intentions as soon as the debate finishes. Can Cameron regain the ground he's lost? Will Clegg continue to build on his success following the first and second debates? We'll have to wait and see - but in the meantime, we've put together a handy table showing how your voting intentions and attitudes towards the party leaders have changed over the past four polls

animula - completely agree.

vesela · 29/04/2010 22:12

CUnextTuesday - what idealism? LD policies way more pragmatic than Labour or Conservative. (Big Society I find ridiculously idealistic).

MerryMarigold · 29/04/2010 22:12

Yomojo, I thought NC just said he was giving an extra 1.5billion to education

MollieO · 29/04/2010 22:12

Iirc GB offered PA a place in the cabinet and PA turned it down.

SanctiMoanyArse · 29/04/2010 22:13

We're also vulnerrable and have had a run of bad luck and tax Credits have been a lifeline for us

Wolfcub · 29/04/2010 22:13

YoMoJo I agree about job security. I am very worried that the other parties will cut public sector jobs just to make a point and they'll cut so much that everything will go to hell in a handbasket. I'm not saying there aren't some cuts that can be made and Labour have been taking this forward but there is no need for drastic job losses. How does that help anyone

vesela · 29/04/2010 22:13

am I the only one finding it wasn't enough of a debate tonight?

)or would I only have been happy if someone landed one on GB?!)

SparrowGirl · 29/04/2010 22:13

I can sympathise YoMo.

I work in local government and we are pretty shafted who ever gets in I suspect. Ho hum, everyone hates us and my pension isn't even that big.

Molesworth · 29/04/2010 22:13

Agree about the big society being a bit of idealistic fluff which DC has hardly mentioned in the debates, probably because he doesn't understand what it actually is

woosam · 29/04/2010 22:13

Yes, I think you may be right, Mollie.

vesela · 29/04/2010 22:13

MerryMarigold, 2.5 billion to education, all costed.

vesela was responding to Mme Lindt's post. I actually like his ideas, but they are...er... untested

TDiddy · 29/04/2010 22:14

just cast my postal vote.

Agree with you vesela that BigSocitey* is one of those woolly concepts.

bacon · 29/04/2010 22:15

GB is just obsessed with TAX CREDITS - great! some of us are living with self employed partners who may draw a small wage but their company make a profit - we dont get a penny!

Sick of constant handouts, help yes to all those who genuienly need it but I'm seeing far too many people doing very well out of it.

Camy, gets my vote, GB will carry everyone ba the honest hardworking people who want to acheive and reap the rewards in this life.

SparrowGirl · 29/04/2010 22:16

Very woolly. I just want decent schools and hospitals, I really have no desire to actually run one.

cinnamontoast · 29/04/2010 22:17

Osborne being interviewed. He looks like the undead. Perhaps I need to fix colour on telly? Nope. Cable looks normal.

CaveMum · 29/04/2010 22:17

Two words that sum up why I won't vote Labour - Peter Mandelson. Shudder!

CUNextTuesday · 29/04/2010 22:17

Godness the lesser spotted Osborne is on the BBC news! Thought he wasn't allowed out after 10pm!

Molesworth · 29/04/2010 22:17

Yes Mandy is shudderworthy, but Osbourne is far, far worse!

SparrowGirl · 29/04/2010 22:18

urgh. UKIP...now he is a creepy, creepy man.

vesela · 29/04/2010 22:18

sorry, CU, I misunderstood! I meant to MmeLindt, then.

I don't think we can afford either of these known quantities.

atlantis · 29/04/2010 22:18

cameron won you gov poll 41%

clam · 29/04/2010 22:19

Just wondering about Nick Clegg's pledge for smaller classes....
There's enough of a scrum trying to gain places at good schools with a limit of 30. How's that going to pan out if it's reduced to 20? And how the hell is he going to fund it, anyway. Has no-one told him we have a bit of an overdraft going on?
