Did anyone else watch this? Who did best? Was 10.30 on a Sunday morning a reasonable time to schedule this debate?

Just me then? I did think it was a ridiculous time.

I didn't see it because I was at church. I only saw it advertised once on Sky News and I haven't really seen anything about it, since.

I thought that it was a ridiculous time to have it. It's just another example of the Westminster parties and the media marginalising the SNP and showing just how irrelevant they think Scotland is. I had been under the impression that it was a Scottish leaders debate, but it was, apparently, Alex Salmond versus some folk from London.Oh, well, what can you expect. Personally, I think that Scottish people should wake up to the attitudes of the UK government (all the main parties). If this "leaders Debate" fiasco doesn't make it obvious enough, the behaviour of the so called Scottish LAbour, Conservative and Lib-Dems in Holyrood should leave people in know doubt that Westminster isn't interested in the welfare, or even the opinion, of the Scottish people.

I watched it Granny23. TBH for me it was a better time than the the economic debate on the BBC later. Did mean we didn't go swiming though.
I thought Alex Salmond did well, Alistair Carmichael did better than I expected, Mundell was just what I expected - I did think though that Jim Murphy looked VERY uncomfortable at points. He really didn't look at ease with some of his answers about the justification for war.
Interesting to see what happens with the BBC 'leaders' debate - although I have to say I am not holding my breath for any degree of fairness from the legal system.

Agree with your analysis PT.

I dragged myself out to a local candidates hustings tonight and wished I hadn't bothered. The SNP and Green candidates (both women) were very good, the Tory was not bad but could sense he was on a hiding to nothing, Guy for UKIP just gave us his personal opinions (including that most children are devils and therefore need strict discipline) and neither the Labour nor the Liberal Candidates turned up! We got a labour candidate from an adjoining seat who knew nothing about local issues and denied all knowledge of his missing colleagues activities but assured us he was a great man. A local LD Councillor who had turned up merely to support his candidate was pressed into service as a substitute. I think he was talking gibberish but as you could not hear him behind a paper bag I may be wrong.

Local hustings used to be exciting, well attended events, complete with tub thumping and heckling. Having become used to slick television debates, tonight's effort felt amatuerish and the small audience were very well behaved - well all except me - I was impelled to shout 'name them' at the UKIP guy when he stated categorically that we needed Trident because there were 'many belligerent countries out there'.

Just saw a message on FB about a local hustings tonight.
all present asked who they would vote for if they couldn't vote for their own party. Answers as follows:

SNP: Green, Labour: Lib Deb, Lib Dem: Labour, Con: Lib Dem, UKIP: Monster Raving Looney Party!

I used to go to Hustings - 2 young kids is a great excuse not to have to go any more . Did spend my morning delivering leaflets though when DD was a playgroup.

No surprises there PT!

I thought I had finished my leafleting this am but now hear that there are a couple of areas in neighbouring big village still to do. As I have voted today (postal vote) I am now expendable and will no doubt be worked to death over the coming week!!
