Does anyone know why we still have selective schools? I?m not looking to debate the advantages or otherwise of selection (I do have a view) but I am interested to know what others think happened to Labour?s pledge.

I don't know tbh whether you agree with selection or not it seems odd.

I think you can't have selection but if the school had selection prior to a certain date they can continue.

I may be wrong, but haven't the Haberdasher's corporation opened new academies under a labour government. Unless they have changed their admissions criteria they interview.
