So, just for fun, can we propose our fantasy cabinet, from any country and from any time ... we can even bring back people from the grave.

I'd like JFK for Prime Minister.

I'd like Alistair Darling to remain Chancellor of the Exchequer assisted by the
cultured and glamorous French Finance Minister, Christine Lagarde.

Nick Clegg to be Minister for Europe.

David Cameron will be Minister for Volunteering and Society

Ed Miliband to Eduation

Lionel Blue to Defence

Philip Hammond to Minister for Public Sector Reform

Ken Clarke to Minister for Private Sector Business

JFK would be too busy fettling under the ministerial blankets with Harriet Harman. He'd get nothing done.

I like you bringing in Lagarde but I am a bit about her being second fiddle to Alistair Darling - can't he be her assistant instead?

And I'd like to bring Claire Short back - do you think she'd feel marginalised if we made her Minister for Wimmin?

Stark Well Lagarde is only assistant because Alistair is a what my friend descibed as a sort of Jesus. It would be quite wrong to place anyone in charge of him, even a woman.
