UKIP want us out of the EU, I love Europe can't stand the EU.We pay 40 million a day to them
1)72% of our laws are now made in Brussells, from fuel taxes, farming, fishing and immigration.
2)We pay £40 million a day to be in the EU.
3)The Two richest countries in Europe-Norway and Switzerland are not even in the EU.
4)Under labour we now have 3.5 million extra people living in this country. We need proper border controls. Nick Cleggs policy is to count people in and out of the country, and force them to work in 'regions' totally unworkable. UKIP would keep our proud tradition of helping genuine asylum seekers.
5)UKIP does not appear to be anti-christian as do the other parties. The labour parties spin doctor Alistair Campbell said they "don't do God!" I do.
6)UKIP believes in holding referendums for the electorate on key local and international issues. I like this.
7)Crime is now out of contol, UKIP would build more prisons. Last but not least, Lord Pearson (leader) is 'posh' and does not try to hide it.

lincstash, has something bad happened to you personally to make you so upset about this? I live in a very multicultural area and yet I see expressions of Englishness everywhere.

I'm struggling to even imagine what an "anti-English oppressionist state" might look like.

ShadeofViolet · 21/04/2010 21:28

I live in a multicultural area of Nottingham. We are having a St Georges Day gala at our local school, just the same as we have a divali celebration or chinese new year. On the Saturday my son will be taking part in the St Georges day parade with his scout groups, along with two of his asian friends, and his best friend who is polish.

The whole english oppression thing is a myth, or its people that are trying to be PC and protect others feelings when those they are trying to 'protect' dont actually give a damn.

You are rascist - simple as!

TheFallenMadonna · 21/04/2010 21:41

Yep, DS and DD are off to a St George's Day parade - at an Anglican church - where they will renew their beaver/cub promises to love/do their duty to God and serve the Queen. Flags will be carried.

lincstash · 21/04/2010 21:53

@ sungirltan

SO it has to happen to someone personally before it counts? It happens to the members of my culture, the 97% of us in this country that are white and english.

ok, here a few that piss us english off in particular:

A Catholic airport worker was suspended for displaying an image of Jesus on a staff room wall after a Muslim colleague made a complaint against him.

Tough shit. The Church of England is the State religion, the Queen is the head of the Church and Defender of the Faith. Why should we have to give way?? Its the religion of this country.

Scottish Muslim, Majid Haq, made his World Cup debut yesterday with a beer manufacturers logo blacked out on his strip because of his strong anti-alcohol views. "Its for religious reasons," said Haq. Haq is not the first Muslim cricketer to take this form of action against alcohol sponsorship. Hashim Amla, the South Africa batsman, refused to wear shirts emblazoned with Castle Lager logos on his Test debut in 2004. www.gg2.net/worldcup2007/viewnews.asp?ENewsId=4545

The Red Cross denies banning Xmas 'so not as to offend moslems'. taff were told not to set up nativity scenes, Christmas trees or decorations with Christian symbols in case they offended Muslims and other non-Christians. If thats not tantamount to banning it, then what is?

Guide Dog for the Blind banned from a taxi by a moslem because he claimed it was unclean. Magistrates at Marylebone fined Mr Majekodumni £200 and ordered him to pay £1,200 for failing to comply with regulations set out under the Disability Discrimination Act. After the case Mr Majekodunmi remained defiant and insisted that he would continue refusing passengers accompanied by guide dogs.

And we dont even need to mention Salman Rushdie, The Satanic Verses, the oppression of our traditional and legal right to free speech, and islamic clerics issuing death threats (Fatwahs) against the citizens of this country.

I can find dozens of these, its like shooting fish in a barrel.

cinnamontoast · 21/04/2010 22:11

I'm fairly new to Mumsnet and really enjoying the political debates, as not many people I know are that interested tbh, but wow, ones like this have taken me by surprise. Have I got this right: Crystal 123 and Lincstash (both of whose distasteful views I've come across elsewhere on MN) are political plants? 123 and Lincs - why bother? Can't you see you're wasting your time? Hardly converting anyone, are you? Can't we go back to genuine political discussion rather than having to fend off racist rants? I might just return to the cake-making threads!

lincstash · 21/04/2010 23:04

The only racists are the anti-english ones.

Why is is racist to point out the problems with multiculturalism?

Sorry that old left wing debate suppressing tactic doesnt work anymore. Its not racist to point out my culture is being oppressed by foreigners.

I notice you dont deny any of the above has taken place, and i notice you dont condemn it, ergo we conclude you are also and anti english racist.

cinnamontoast · 21/04/2010 23:08

Am trying to get my head round this whole anti-English racist thing! On second thoughts, it's not worth it? Do people really talk like this? Beginning to sound very BNP.
By the way, who's 'we'? Is Lincs-thingy a committee?

cinnamontoast · 21/04/2010 23:09

Sorry, didn't mean to put question mark after 'it's not worth it'. Def isn't!

Mongolia · 21/04/2010 23:32

Oh Gawd! I'm dismayed at some of Shadeofviolet's posts...

It would be interesting to see what happens if all the immigrants are removed from the UK, I can see a serious shortage of doctors and nurses in the NHS, and Universities loosing a lot of the research and teaching power that keeps the UK at its best. I imagine also that London may end up its days as a capital of banking. Bloody euros, they are everywhere! If all their staff has to be redeployed I imagine a huge migration of business out of these lands.

And looking at what history has taught us, what do you do with those individuals whose origins are no longer clear? lets say those that are half English? are those allowed to stay? should their parent's leave them behind? How do you choose to split the families? Because believe me, every time that there has been a cultural split requiring huge mobilisations of people there are a lot of human casualties.

lincstash · 21/04/2010 23:59

"can see a serious shortage of doctors and nurses in the NHS"

Are these the ones who are killing us because the EU stops up from finding out if they can actually read, speak and write english until they actually misdiagnose or overdose one of us ?

5 year old killed by idiot german doctor

lincstash · 22/04/2010 00:02

"London may end up its days as a capital of banking"

UMmm, already happened. The whole framework for financial regulation in the UK is being driven by the overarching jurisdiction of the European Union that will hand over the ultimate decisions to majority voting and the lethal use of co-decision and, finally, the European Court of Justice. This will undermine the City of London in favour of other European financial centres.

That one objective of the EU achieved then.

lincstash · 22/04/2010 00:05

The European Commission has made no attempt to validate it claim that lack of EU cross-border rules was a key cause of credit crisis, ignoring evidence that the real damage stemmed from the failure of countries to enforce their existing rules properly. Instead of dealing with the fundamental problem, the Commission is instead proposing to add new bureaucratic structures.

The key bone of contention is the creation of three new "Authorities" with a permanent staff and binding powers: a European Banking Authority in London; a European Insurance and Pensions Authority in Frankfurt; and a European Securities Authority in Paris.

While they look like the current advisory committees made up of chief regulators from the 27 member states, they are in reality executive agencies able to impose their agenda, with powers to "settle the matter" in the case of disputes. They effectively strip Britain of ultimate control over much of the City, leaving "day-to-day" matters to the Financial Services Authority.

Keith Boyfield, co-author of the report and chair of the Regulatory Evaluation Group, said the raft of proposals coming from Brussels together amount to an extremely serious assault on the City .

"When you look at this you wonder whether Alistair Darling's White Paper is a pointless exercise," he said.

The Government appears confused by the rush of events. Rather than fight the core issue of transferring control to Brussels, it has been arguing over whether the bodies should be run by the Commission or the Council. Either way, London loses ultimate control.

So Labour rearranges the deckchairs on the Titanic once again.

Chandra · 22/04/2010 00:12

"Are these the ones who are killing us because the EU stops up from finding out if they can actually read, speak and write english until they actually misdiagnose or overdose one of us ?"

No, they are the ones that would save your life when you only deserve to have your tongue removed..

crystal123 · 22/04/2010 00:24

MONGOLIA AND OTHERS. I am in dismayed to see that this thread has led to such division among people who should be united!
As a I have stated my family although British born are not white. My thread was to open a debate on why I'm voting UKIP. Obviously most have not read my background as they would not post things that have said "racist rants" etc..) It is really sad(particularly for me) that this has turned into a thread about race, nationality, when really it is about the provision of services health, education, and schooling in a shrinking UK. Let us all calm down, and realise we all want the best for our children
and families, regardless of our political
persuasions. I think we all should remember
we all have a lot more in common than we think.

OP posts:
crystal123 · 22/04/2010 00:44

cinnamontoast. I have never made "racist rants" as you state. I merely point out the
benefits of voting UKIP. As I have stated before, (and you don't read earlier posts) my family who are not white, will suffer under the BNP and not white liberals! So please get your facts right before castigating others, of whom you know nothing about!

OP posts:
crystal123 · 22/04/2010 01:00

My neighbour has put a massive UKIP poster up in her hedge and because of the layout of our houses DH and I are worried people might think it is us and I'd be mortified if they did. I know that adds nothing to this thread but I feel a lot better getting it off my chest.

ShadeofViolet · 22/04/2010 07:15

Racism
?noun
1.a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2.a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3.hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

As some of you are so blind to your own racism I thought I would give you a definition. You have shown clearly the first point in the last few posts of this thread.

PfftTheMagicDragon · 22/04/2010 07:57

crystal - why do we have to be a christian country? I think that the time for a nation of believers is coming to an end. Can we not just be a nation of people rather than a nation of Christian people?

crystal123 · 22/04/2010 08:15

magicdragon. I waa pointing out how Christians are being marginialised, and in some cases persecuted, as we can see from reports from many different parts of the press. Also Rowan,Carey,Bishop Sentamu, and others all express concern for Christians in Britain today.

Griffinsmom. My background is quite mixed as well, from five different countries, does that make my definition of British Culture, better than say an English man or Woman, whose family has a lineage going back 150 years to this country? I think not.
