My Big Fat Tory Wedding

OK so I'm marrying for money. Call me cheap. Call me a slapper. Call me anything you like. But the promise of £150 pa for now, and the vague promise of more in future has finally persuaded me to go for it.

£ £ £ £ £ £ £

Please help me though as I'd like to spend no more on the wedding than the value of the tax break. £150.00 then is the budget

Register office is fine so that's £90 of the budget gone.

Can you please help me find an outfit and suggest a buffet and drinkies (which we're happy to have at home given the budgetary constraints) for 12 people. DP has a suit, shirt and tie and his shoes will polish up nicely so no need for him to spend any more mmoney.

I don't mind second hand.

Please help stylish ladies and nothing cheap.

Thanks

Bridezilla Blue

remember it might not be £150 depends on your earnings!

A meal for 12 is easy and with homemade wedding cake £20. It's posh (as you're now living big) to have things like sausage/mash baked beans - by bag of spuds for £5, 2 sausages each, choice meat or veggie £8 max. Baked beans from Aldi.
Charity shops for dress etc and suit - my husband recently bought a suit for £7 for £25,000 wedding we went to!

you can do it. Have a happier life on the £3 p week!
