Because big business rules. That's where the power is. Multinationals. Powerful and very wealthy individuals. Banks. Lords. And at the end of the day, whoever is in 'power' isn't going to change very much because the real masters of us all will never let that happen.

I have therefore come to the conclusion that the only way to force real and genuine change is revolution!

JustMy - my ex DH (very leftie but increasingly right wing with age)was taken by his parents (staunch tories) to be part of a conservative party fundraiser once. It was a pub quiz type of thing. Once it was over an elderly friend of his parents (very stuffy staunch tory type) put on a record (it was a long time ago) playing "Land of Hope and Glory". DH endured it in stiff silence until the roars of approval at the end and then stood on a chair and sang The Red Flag - he'd got several lines in before being rugby tacked to the ground by FIL.

Yes it does. Sooty is an incompetent pocket lining crook with his fingers in the till, who has time and time and again provenly lied to us, and tried to manipulate us, and whats more, he will make all sorts of promises when its election time and then go back on them later. Remember the referendum on the Lisbon treaty he promised us last time, that went out the window at a convenient moment, didnt it? And its not just Sooty. All his freinds are the same.

Sweep on the other hand, has never held office, so you cant level any of the above accusations at him, and you will never know if hes any good unless you give him a chance. You gace Sooty a chance once, so why now now give Sweep a chance, then if you dont like it, you throw him out at the next election, thats how it works.

What you cant do, is leave sooty in power to continue lying, cheating and stealing from us.
