next year they will be spending more on debt repayments than education, and that's just one example.

From a £6bn deficit in 1997 to £167 bn now....

Oh, and the only new idea (reduction of stamp duty) came from the Tories in the first place.

All those thinking of voting Labour, please read Squandered or The Rotten State of Britain before letting these financially illiterate numpties back in.

huh? Do your Surestarts do pottery and dancing then?

we didn;t have time for shit like that, too busy helping the kids of abused women and the like.

No wonder you don't like them if thats what tyou think we did. We didn;t. The only thing vaguely that way was the growing your own skills thing which we knew for a fact was taken home becuase we would see it when we visited.

Mind, where I lived was pretty shite tbh, a few deprivation index estates, loads of drug issues etc. I guess if your intake is different you might arrnage different groups.

And I raised 4 too DpP thanks, with no SS. Doesn;t mean it wouldlnt ahve been a nice option.

daftpunk · 30/03/2010 19:06

At least you're friendly LOL DP

lincstash · 30/03/2010 19:46

OMG i cant even BEGIBN to list Labours deficiencies.

Even if you ignore the horrendous cockup they've of almost every area of government, from education to defence, and the way they have slavishly handed the independence and sovereignty of this nation on a plate to the french and germans, you only have to look at the people themselves. To a man they are dismally untalented, corrupt, greedy, weak, and totally unsuited to hold public office.

We had the Blairs Babes, a bunch of women who, had they been left to the own devices, wouldn't to a woman have made any higher than school dinner lady. The worst offender is Harriet Harman, a bigoted harridan, anti-male, anti-white- anti-english, anti-middle class, anti christian, in fact anti- about everything this country stands for. This dreadful woman's Equality Bill is so biassed and prejudiced its amount to nothing less that state legalised bigotry, and is so far from 'eequality' its breath taking.

I coud lwrite pages on this subject. Alan Ainsworth, a coventry car plant shop steward, zero talent or knowledge, totally out of his depth and well above his competence ceiling as defence secretary. Someone was having a laugh when he got that job.

But the worst of all is Peter Mandelson. This slimt, corrupt, dishonext , immoral traitor has spent his entire life using public office to line his own pocket and further his own wealth. This man, thrown out of public office TWICE for dishonesty, shoudl never be allowed near public office of public money again, and his presence in the Labour party shoudl ring alarms bells for anyone thinking of voting labour. In any other organisation he woudl have been thrown out as untrustworthy. If £20 goes missing from the petty cash tin, Mandelson is the man whos pockets you need to search.

Policies aside, Labour are a bunch of lying two faced. immoral, dishonest, pocket lining crooks. I wouldn't trust a single one of them with a used bus ticket.

ooojimaflip · 30/03/2010 19:57

What are they going to do with a used bus ticket?

ooojimaflip · 30/03/2010 20:03

dp - ta..

daftpunk · 30/03/2010 20:12

daftpunk · 30/03/2010 20:46

Glad you told me, I could have got myself into a highly embarrassing conversation. I assume anyone with peachy in their name is you.

skihorse · 31/03/2010 05:23

ooja The mind boggles, however my Labourite boyfriend has been carrying an Edinburgh January 2009 one in his pocket since then so I can only assume he too has some dastardly plan!

lincstash That Harman woman! Grrrr! "Blair's babes" indeed, how insulting to each and every one of us - but how appropriate for the Labour party - talent not a pre-requisite.

probonbon · 31/03/2010 05:47

Gawd yes Peter Mandelsohn -- quite right linctash. What a creep. How can this association help Labour at all. He makes me want to throw up all over him.

Clarissimo · 31/03/2010 12:09

Even I don't get HArman o0r Mandelson tbh

daftpunk · 31/03/2010 12:29

What are you peachy....Tory..?

Haven't been able to work you out...even after all this time...

Clarissimo · 31/03/2010 12:44

Not Topry, not BNP, I don't ;et on other than that.

In fact I vote differnetly each time, party am voting for General Election will not be the one in the Assemnly vote or local. I look at the personal record of the candidate too you see.

Have been asked by two paries (Greena dn Lib Dems) to stand loally and refused both times.

So no overall allegiance just a clear sense of where I am policy wise if that makes sense?

lincstash · 31/03/2010 13:06

I have watched and voted in english politics for 50 years, and i have voted for every main party at some stage.

I voted for Blair first time, because I fell for the con trick, like everyoen else did, and we were all sick of the Grey man (John Major). I voted Tory after that, because it didnt take much more than 1 term for his true colours to become apparrant.

I voted for Ted Heath in the Winter of Discontent, 1974, and I voted for Harold Wilson. Ive also voted BNP, and UKIP, and Lib Dems in locals.

It all depends what the situation is at the time.

In this instance, the most important thing is to get rid of Labour, that means you HAVE to vote Tory, the only party capable of dislodging them. Therefore, its irrelevant what polices each party has. Labour staying in power will cause the money markets to panic and collapse, and our credit rating and venture capital will be out the door before you can blink, THEN watch unemployment hit 5 million.

Labour win/hung parliment - disaster.

ronshar · 31/03/2010 13:08

They have ruined our country and dont even have the balls to admit it.

daftpunk · 31/03/2010 13:15

lincstash, I voted Labour in 97'...I now vote BNP.....say no more.

lincstash · 31/03/2010 13:28

By VicarInaTuTu Wed 24-Mar-10 14:08:39
so is it safe to say this thread will be predominantly tory voters shouting and waving about what a terrible gvt this one is?

i have 2 words.

maggie thatcher. that put me off tories for life.

closed the pits
privatised all our major industry
sold all our social housing (council houses)
were generally greedy bastards so the rich got richer and the poor got poorer.

i have a very long memory.

I have an even longer one. The Winter of Discontent, Flying Pickets, Unions bringing large companies to there knees, such as Brtish leyland, The Battle of Ormston Mine. Piles of rubbish stinking in the streets and corpes rotting unburied.

And if you vote labour, all that is coming back, because exactly those unions, in the form of UNITE, led by the same sort of marxist/trotskyite extremists, who now supply LAbour with HALF the money they need to survive as a party, have vowed to eject the Blairites and the Brownites, and return the Labour party back to a left wing socialist party.

Vote labour, and vote for The Socialist Workers Party. Vote for another Winter of Discontent. And when the militant union Trotskyites have wrecked the country, as Brown stands and watches helpless, watch unemployment rise to 5 million as the financial markets finally collapse, our national credit rating vanish, and the venture capitalists and investors flee along with there money.

Yes, voting for Labour is SUCH a good idea......

lincstash · 31/03/2010 13:35

@VicarInaTuTu

Oh and i love the way you turn a blind eye to the way various LABOUR ministers lined there own pockets, Blair for example, now worth £20M on the back of the illegal war in Iraq he started without asking us, and MAndelson, now worth 5 million by ruthlessly lining his own pocket selling favours and contacts and exploiting his public ofice for private gain.

Dont you kid yourself, VicarInaTuTu, this current labour party are more greedy, more immoral, more corrupt, bigger liars, and far more unsuitable to hold public office than any tory has ever been.

Thatcher, for a start was a conviction politician. She BELIEVED in what she siad, and was not in politics for personal gain. Every Labour politician in the last 14 years fro mBalir own just said whatever they thought we wanted to here whilst lining the own pockets as fast as they could.

Thatcher was moral and honest. No LAbour politcians since then has rated higher in morality and honesty than a nigerian 419 scammer.

So your long memory is defective, VicarInaTuTu , and your criticism selective, and your observation of the fact biased and blind.

This Labour party, to a man, (or incompetent blairs babe) is the worst bunch of crooks ever to hold office, ever, and are unfit to continue to do so.

slug · 31/03/2010 14:08

Are the BNP standing in your electorate then DaftPunk?
