The guide is going to be up on the INDEPENDENT MIDWIVES UK website so anyone getting the flyer will be able to access the info there
Anyone who has a link into other groups such as the WI / doulas / MSLCs / yoga groups / schools /community groups etc - please mobilise them all, it would be so good to get all the generations turning out to support the provision of humane and holistic birth as a right for all women
Anyone on mumsnet and netmums, please pass on the info, can everyone go into their local maternity units / birth centres / GP surgeries etc- we need lots of midwives there as well as women and men, mums and dads, grandparents and babies and children
This government really needs to understand that there is a lot of strong feeling about the state of the maternity services, nothing would demonstrate that more than 1000's of bumps and babies and people walking together to demonstrate their belief that we need to reclaim birth back from the machine and to demand the government turns all the rhetoric into action - no more policy but real, tangible change in every community throughout the country
PLEASE, PLEASE DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT THERE AND TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO COME ON THE DAY. THERE HAS BEEN A GREAT DEAL OF WORK DONE TO GET THIS ORGANISED - THE POWER OF PEOPLE ON THE STREETS CANNOT BE BEATEN - LETS GET OUT THERE AND ADD OUR VOICE TO THE DEMAND FOR CHANGE
