So do you think which ever party decides to hit the campaign trail with 'Bringing back the nit nurse' stands a good chance of winning the general election?

Er, no. Bringing back the nit nurse would get a mixed response; would be welcomed by the nit-eradicating folks but ignored by the couldn't-care-less parets of the nitty Noras/Nigels. As the NHS cannot afford enough midwives and Health Visitors, do we really anticipate the return of the nit-nurse? P'raps not
