Fact is this act of sabotage from Trump will likely cause oil prices to rise further and support Putin's campaign in the Ukraine. It will widen the conflict in the middle east from Russian proxies.
Whether we like it or not this is getting worse and not better. Political Instability in the USA makes a change of policy very unpredictable. European leaders must decide how we bring this conflict to an abrupt end and may need to consider using military action to remove Russian forces from the Ukraine. With the largest economy in the world easing sanctions, economic impacts on Russia has been loosened and Europe must now consider what comes next. The risk now is that countries will break from European policy and enter the war alone which will widen this messy conflict.
