I'm afraid we're heading into dangerous territory. Trump linked oil firm is preparing to drill for oil in Greenland without a license and at the same time Trump renews his threat to annex Greenland.

We are on the verge war with this United States of America and every European country needs to prepare it's young for the prospect of world war three because I think we are just months away from it.

At the same time the UK secret service has found a link between the recent surge of Moroccans into the Spanish enclave and Mossad the Israeli espionage group.

Germany, Finland, UK, Spain, Noway military had top level talks on Friday regarding the US and EU relations.

Things are very very bad

I had missed that there is oil under Greenland. I know about many ore deposits, copper and common metals to the exotic such as tantalum.
An oil spill, accidental or "accidental" would be very serious there. Mining would have lower ecological risk.
Some development should be permitted to bring money into the region.

That's a decision for Greenland.

Yes I agree, however Greenland and Denmark decide.
Certainly not the USA nor a Texan Company.

As an American, I am horrified at everything about Trump, surely the most bigoted, bullying, blood-thirsty, lying, vicious, vulgar, vindictive, selfish, self-serving, self-aggrandizing, self-dealing, meretricious, murderous, grifting, greedy, cruel, corrupt, heartless, ignorant, criminal president of all time. And especially horrified at the way he is damaging American's traditional alliances, while cozying up to the worst authoritarian dictators. I hope none of you ever have to experience the pain and shame of this.

The idea of our allies declaring war on America is just too mind-boggling to contemplate. I can only hope it won't come to that.

Thank you for your link, which I will pass on.

Europeans are hoping for a change this November. The war you talk about has already started, we are no longer allies but victims of a very powerful bully.

Trade wars, using tech billionaires to interfere with our democracies, supporting a genocide and then punishing other countries that opposed it. Using threats to undermine the sovereignty of British territory. These are not actions of an alliance member and it's something we would normally expect from Putin. We completely understand our position and we accept we have a very poor hand in this game Trump plays but it won't go unpunished. Any attempt to annex a NATO ally will be met with fire and fury regardless of the outcome. We are not scared to lose but will fight trying... surely history shows you that.

I feel sorry for Americans who are having to live with this but ultimately you have a choice this November. You have to use democracy to unseat your tyrant in Washington. Poor midterm results are you best hope to make sure you don't lose the right to choose your next president and lose your constitution.

I think there has been a lot of gaslighting that the threat of war is coming from a different direction and it’s now becoming clear where the true threat is.

It’s terrifying territory as the US has always been with us not against us, but Trump is only for himself.

Kind of hoping maybe Mother Nature will save the day at this point.

We're just watching you casually bully Denmark again and again - and randomly bully most of the world... - and Americans more or less express that everything is fine as long as your national gas prices don't increase.

I think a lot of Americans are terrified of standing up against it. The only way is the ballot box, the pen is mightier than the sword and I'm still confident that Americans have the power to change things. There is still time and a punishing blow at the mid-terms will turn the republicans against him and allow due process to remove and impeach him.

This is the only way and you have to hope after that the next president will attempt to repair old friendships.

If the old friends want to play. I know money is a big part of the game but I think America has lost af lot of goodwill the years to come from Europe.

“I hope none of you have to experience the pain and shame of this”. Typical “not my president” making it all about you while the world burns and you’re doing absolutely nothing to push for change to fix this. Only Americans can afford to wallow in self pity right now. Our European economy and future peace and safety are falling off a cliff. I can’t roll my eyes hard enough without dislocating something.

Let's not start having a go at random Americans who may be as horrified by what's happening as we are. We don't actually know what individual posters might be doing to fight Trump in the US.

I aurgued this on another thread the other day, that many people are ignoring the very real threat from America and Israel to world peace and the economy, because all the focus is on Russia. You wouldn't believe the sneering from some posters who clearly thought i was some kind of crank! So many people are totally naive and think Trump is all bluster (how can they believe that when hes literally causing us damage every day?!) And they think Israel is nothing to do with us and cant affect us 🤦‍♀️ Some people need to wake up.
