The last several recent national polls indicate that the election of Burnham as leader has seen Labour retake the lead and would probably form a minority government (or better) if an election was held tomorrow. Reform meanwhile is in the low 20s, while they’re were averaging low 30s just six months ago. Do you think it’s game over for Reform in terms of the next election? Is Burnham enough to secure the next election for Labour? Or could Reform claw it back still?

Things are in place now to destroy reform as a political movement. I'm hoping for both Tice and Farage to be removed as MPs via the ongoing corruption investigation. Dirty money all linked to two individuals.... falling support across the board.

Anyone can come up with good ideas. But there's a vacuum as to how he's going to pay for them. Until we get the latter, no one can possibly be "happy" about his spending ideas.

We had near to full employment from 1997 to 2010. Unemployment rates were at a record low.

They're all too vague to know. T-levels didn't seem to make much impact so I'm not about TSCEs.

The £5k for parents holding back their children is a odd one as it seems to acknowledge that jobs are there but that kids aren't doing them because life is better on benefits so the classic Labour solution is given them more benefits.

Reform, they have been routed by a positive campaign and they can't cope with the fact they they've been found out. Money laundering, links to Russian money, links to convicted fraudster. It's all coming home to roost. Absolute bunch of crooks and would have sold out every working person had they got close to power.

To be fair not everyone can come up with good ideas. Starmer couldn't. Burnham has been more effective in idea generation in two weeks than Starmer was in two years.

My husband has ran a large manufacturing business for 40+ years the current youth employment package from Labour is less than the previous one with the Conservatives. . With the increase in business rates, NI, Utilities, raw materials, their now is no way they can take on apprentices it is too costly. As for schools/education we did already had technical training in place but it has been cancelled due to reduced funding in education budgets. The local school near me have managed to secure 2 apprenticeship places out of a year group of 300 kids. Previously up to 40% went from school to paid apprenticeship’s. All due to the incompetence of this Labour Government.
