Build ‘em up.
Knock ‘em down.

Short honeymoon and then the grumbling will start. It will all be over for him by Christmas.

So, who’s next?

Thanks for providing the link to the gov.uk article. I see that the money was set aside in May. So is Burnham's plan taking money that was for a different project?

It would appear so.

Free Apprentice training?

Free? So who’s paying for it? There’s always someone paying for the free stuff.

You will on the new poll tax you're advocating for.

Some of it does certainly, unless you pretend Brexit and Covid didn't cost the UK.

A bit arbitrary to stop there, why not keep going?

Someone wants poll tax again? Either very young or someone with a short memory. The brouhaha about it was bad enough last time.

Keep going with what?

I thought you don't want to look back? Or you mean only up to July 2024?

“You have to know the past to understand the present.”

Carl Sagan

'History teaches us that man learns nothing from history.'

Hegel.

Well he certainly doesn’t if he doesn’t even look at it.

You are the one looking back - why stop at Brexit?

Bad use of AI and algorithms.

How far back do you want to go?

Austerity still affects the UK

Burnham has gone back to Thatcher and I’m with him there.

Make an argument on the thread.

Bringing up other threads is not on.

I haven't said a thing about you personally! Just pointed out the irony. Anyway, will leave it there.

Just to put us back on track - I have found the answer my own question, on the BBC:

The bursary will be paid for from a £30m pot, funded through the growth and skills levy, a tax on employers with annual wage bills over £3m.

You quoted me, you came here for that.
You didn’t add anything to the thread, you just ganged up.
That was uncalled for.
