Farage resigns as Clacton MP and will contest the by-election

Nigel Farage is resigning as MP for Clacton, triggering a by-election in the constituency - which he will stand in.

He says he wants the people of Clacton to decide whether he is worthy of representing them - not the mainstream media who he feels constantly attack him personally as well as the party he represents.

Meanwhile if Binface wins I assume there is no need for a second by-election because Farage won't be an MP.

Yes. Even if he gets returned he is still going to be investigated. He seems to be saying he’s a victim. Maybe some might believe it, but it’s a tough sell imo

I think the by-election still happens, but as Farage has resigned he either runs un-opposed or against bin face.

There are sometimes un-opposed by elections when an MP dies.

Yes, I do believe that is why he is standing for re-election. What do you know about his reason? I am part of ‘everybody’, and I don’t know. I also believe that any loving parent would object to the parent’s haters starting to target their child, even if some folk, including me, had never before heard of her.

So how is he avoiding it by standing down and re-standing? I'm sure there must be a way, but I don't know what it is?
