Do the uk news channels keep giving Trump airtime and going out of their way to speak with him? Firstly Sky and now BBC news - who gives a damn what he thinks, I know I certainly don’t and it makes me so mad that he gets this kind of attention.

Perhaps it’s just me!

edited because I repeated myself, probably because I’m so mad 😁

They’re supposed to be unbiased. That’s the only reason I can think of.

HamToasties · 23/04/2026 19:59

Ermmmmm, because he is the President of the United States perhaps…. 🤔 🙄

Seriously, you want to listen anymore to his rantings ? Are we not bombarded with truth social and his daily, often illiterate rants enough? Tyrants like him should be ignored and not given even more attention.

Given everything happening in Iran and the gulf and to petrol and electricity prices is influenced by his actions I am pretty interested in what he going to do. Aren’t you bothered by fuel prices and electric prices and the price of all other commodities that are linked to them (which is pretty much everything)?

That’s headline news everyday, there is nothing we dint know, but going out of their way to court him; sky ringing him and now the bbc is too much as far as I’m concerned.

You only like to listen to views that agree with your own?

he is not an offical tyrant on your view of him is, therefore he is still the leader of one of the largest superpowers of the free world,

heaven forbid, stop the press everyone it seems they want north korea style press instead

Should add, these conversations a lot of the time are just an excuse to slag off Keir, there’s nothing informative in them or new, or if there on the slight chance is, he’ll have changed his mind about it 2 days later.

Wether you want to hear from or not is really neither here not there. we really must hear from him, if only to try to mitigate the terrible harm he is doing to the world.

He undoubtedly will affect your life - see the increase in fuel which will lead to an increase in just about everything.

I wish I'd never heard his name, but he is doing undeniable harm to just about every country at the moment. Of course news outlets want to hear from the person responsible for plunging most of the world into depression, at best.

So? His view of Kier is rather key to
our relationship with the US.

So what have you learnt from the BBC interview? Because there’s nothing new at all to be leant there in the 5 minute conversation- just the usual crap!

What relationship! You think Keir with his tongue up his arse did us any favours? Or when Keir finally put his foot down that it did anything either? It is the most precarious relationship - Trump just likes an audience and the problem is he is given too much of a voice.

I tend not to watch the BBC news much. I prefer to watch news sources that share accurate facts and don’t edit speeches to misrepresent them.

excatly, i completely agree, but then using your opinion why then do you want society to be a dictatorship by ingoring trump ? because thats the logical conclusion if enough people believed and censored the news etc we would as a society be no better than north Korea then ?

Trump owns the world stage and news! My point is these 5 minute phone conversations that happen, that are nothing more than an excuse for Trump to rip this country, its leader and its policies to pieces, theres nothing new or groundbreaking in them. Stop giving him oxygen!

The BBC have form for censorship and biased reporting. If they are accurately showing Trumps speeches rather than misrepresenting them then that is a start. At least we can then form our own opinions on them.

Let's say it together

dem-oc-racy

mondaytosunday · 23/04/2026 21:50

Because he’s at the centre of the wretched Iran/Strait of Hormuz situation. Because he’s leader of the world super power. He’s an idiot, but is control of such weaponry that could destroy us all.

Humptydumptysat · 23/04/2026 22:10

And Iran is also on the edge of holding weapons that could destroy us too. The colonial Arab government there have murdered over 40,000 Persians they rule over and been behind a good number of recent attempted terrorist plots in the Uk. It took the BBC nearly two weeks to mention the protests in Iran and then they claimed it was to do with cost of living. And they didn’t report the massacres by the IRGC.
