If an election was called next week who would you vote for?

Your bias is evident in the order you put the options, nice try Restore HQ but you’ll have to pay for market research.

Eggdilemma · 18/02/2026 16:50

Green Party

Bromptotoo · 18/02/2026 16:51

If we had a fair electoral system Labour or Green.

Where I live it'd be tactical to keep Reform out.

HappyFace2025 · 18/02/2026 16:56

None of the above is also an option

Endofpartone · 18/02/2026 16:58

Restore.

NetballHoop · 18/02/2026 17:00

Lib Dem as they're the best tactical vote here.

ginasevern · 18/02/2026 17:03

Labour.

Arlanymor · 18/02/2026 17:04

Plaid don’t make your list for some reason - are you talking about a UK election? Because as it happens they have four MPs. But more importantly we have the Senedd election in May when I will also be voting Plaid and their polling is looking favourable - not that I really trust polls - including this one frankly if you’re going to miss parties off!

Thedogscollar · 18/02/2026 17:07

Take that shit off from the top of your list then I'll vote.

Thedogscollar · 18/02/2026 17:07

The Labour option is 4th down the list.

Was about to say the same.

I'm politically homeless currently, having previously voted Labour or Lib Dem. If I had to vote in an election tomorrow I would spoil my vote. I'm not the only one.

I did it in order from right to left so its easy to find your party.

Meadowfinch · 18/02/2026 17:36

I'm hoping there will be an independent.

I want to vote against Labour, I refuse to vote Reform or Restore. The Greens and the LibDems think women can have penises so they're out. And I'm not ready to vote Tory yet.
What a totally depressing choice.

InMySpareTime · 18/02/2026 17:37

If an election were called next week (which it won’t be) I’d find out who was standing in my constituency and review their policies and the manifesto pledges of the parties they stand for.
The era of blind loyalty to parties whatever their offering is over, and today’s voters are fickle. I’ll vote for whoever will best represent the interests of people in my constituency, and as nobody yet even has a manifesto (because it’s not 2029) I’m holding fire on any voting decision.

FrootyCider · 18/02/2026 17:39

Labour.
Productivity is going up. Growth is happening. NHS waitlists are going down. Starmer is an excellent dealer with other world leaders, and he's a grown up. I'm not being taken by the nonsense and hyperbole in the media
I don't want Toad of Toad Hall leading us down the Trumpian path, Greens are appealing but want us to get rid of the nukes, Lib Dems won't win round here. I'm not even entertaining the rest of the racist new parties.

You mistake me for someone who would give a damn what you think.
Enjoy your pipedream.

BlueMoonBlueCheese · 18/02/2026 17:41

Relate - it's a new party I'm setting up for people who's marriage isn't going well.

I really don't, and I really will.

Thedogscollar · 18/02/2026 19:17

Restore or Reform all the same really.
Lowe and his Restore party supported by Elon Musk, well need I go on.
They seem to like a party name beginning with R.
Why don't you just come out with it and rebrand as the Racist party.

thedramaQueen · 18/02/2026 19:22

I would tactically vote - you need an option for that. I would vote for the party that keeps Reform out. Not ideal but the way the current system works.

reversegear · 18/02/2026 19:53

God this is depressing, why and how the hell is labour after this utter shit show 38% is everyone living under a rock? Not being impacted as a business owner, parent I guess maybe living in an area where raoes and stabbing have gone through the roof, I also guess all 38% work for local government and haven’t seen them just brush girls abuse under the carpet again.

Yes the other lot were shit rishi shafted me as a business director during covid but that’s childsplay compared to this corruption.

MellersSmellers · 18/02/2026 23:37

Endofpartone · 18/02/2026 16:58

Restore.

Who the hell are Restore anyway?
Are they just hoping that some numpties intending to vote Reform will misread the ballot paper and vote for them by mistake?

stickydough · 18/02/2026 23:53

I’d probably have to spoil my vote again, reluctantly. The available options currently are diabolical.

Also missing the Northern Irish parties, and SNP.
