Trump will deny any implications in the files about "What he knew and when he knew it". He's decided that he will ride out that criticism.
I don't know any more what "The Epstein files" are, The original conspiracy theory was that Epstein kept a list of people who he "gifted" ( can't think of another word for it) time of the young/underage women to, to have sex with. The original conspiracy theory was that many famous men would be on the list.
I predict that the conspiracy theorists will not be satisfied unless they get a big Scalp; they will proclaim the documents are incomplete unless someone famous is clearly implicated and who they want to persecute, Bill Clinton or Michael Wolf or somone else they want to villify. The conspiracy theorists aren't interested in proof only an excuse to escalate their existing prejudices.
I try not to follow this story closely but I have picked up the information that the victims feel they fully knew identities of the men they were parceled out to. So they could always name them but were afraid or repercussions, or just wanted to leave the sordid episode behind. I never understood why the women couldn't say "I was introduced to and coerced into having sex with a man who called him self John Smith and said he ran BigCorp Corporation. The man called John Smith who runs BigCorp today sure looks like the guy I remember." : because how would that be libelous? But heyho. The crimes happened decades ago, and people with PTSD have damaged memories, so simply "seems like the guy I remember" sounds safe enough thing to say to me.
Also, one of the legal podcasts I listen to says that there are huge number of documents from the court cases, from Discovery process and documents filed with courts and presented in court, that always could have been released much earlier within the (pre 2016) evidence release norms. Are those the "Epstein Files"? I mean... what are the EF, anyway?
For MAGA demanding EF, nothing but documents listing people they can persecute will be considered EF, I reckon.
