The post office scandal

I defy anyone to read this account of the new post office report and not wonder why the hell the government has not pulled its finger out and paid the fuck up to those poor people. And why so called managers and leaders who did this are not in jail. Do we live in a fair society or should we just all just be expected to acknowledge that the rich shouldn’t be asked to go to jail?

And if this isn’t a political issue, instead of all this party naval gazing , I don’t know what is.

The word Kafkaesque has never been more appropriate. Those poor poor people caught in a nightmare.

Justice can’t possibly move this slowly unless some important people want it to.

Dragging out compensation, asking for 7 or more medical reports, each one at the last possible second. What are they playing at? The report, by the way, is by Sir Wyn Williams.

Absolutely disgraceful putting victims through even more stress.
Everyone knows the sub post masters were treated appallingly and that LIES were told to wrongly put blame on innocent people. People whose lives have been changed forever - for the worse.
Give them their compensation now. Not that any money makes up for what they’ve been put through but they deserve something.

I think Fujitsu should be paying the compensation personally.

Harjinder broke a long silence on the eve of this report’s publication. “I just want everyone to know the impact, what’s happened to us all,” he said. “But I also need someone to be punished and let them go to prison and feel like what we’ve been through.” Quite so. But do “someones” like that go to prison – or is it only people like Harjinder Butoy who do? That is the key question which remains, and no country where the little people pay for the sins of the bigwigs should ever consider itself properly civilised. Compensation should be full and fair – but so should justice.

Another miscarriage of justice, read in the telegraph about the suicides....very sad.
