That’s been a long time coming.

vovov · 03/07/2025 20:48

SummerFrog25 · 03/07/2025 20:49

Oh dear God, he really doesn't get it does he?

caringcarer · 03/07/2025 20:50

Great news it will decimate Labour. I wouldn't be surprised if Dianne Abbot joined them too.

Shellyash · 03/07/2025 20:51

Jeremy who?

Summersunshinebliss · 03/07/2025 20:57

Just seen this on the news. Interesting to see where it will go.

Reddog1 · 03/07/2025 21:03

Won’t he take a handful of votes from Labour and thereby let in Reform?

I get that people in England unlike other parts of the UK don’t have much choice on the left though, and might welcome JC’s party.

User37482 · 03/07/2025 21:03

Ah yes pro russia, pro hamas, pro hezbollah, pro IRA, pro Iran.

Yes should be very interesting.

Needmorelego · 03/07/2025 21:05

I have no idea who Zarah Sultana is but I LOVE her name 😁

BellyPork · 03/07/2025 21:07

I great admire Jeremy Corbyn but his politics are slightly too right wing for me.

Yes. More in common say polling of this hypothetically shows the party would have 10% support taking votes away from Labour and the Greens making Reform’s lead stronger.

Good. The Labour Party have always had factions who absolutely hate each other. More than they hate the Tories or anyone else. They are less a broad church than 2 parties who loathe each other forced to live under the same roof. At least if there was a Hard Left party they could he honest as a protest party and actually say what they believe and see what happens.

mellongoose · 03/07/2025 21:15

I wonder how many of the parliamentary Labour Party and those who now sit as independents will jump?

The Greens are more or less a Hard Left party now anyway, so I don't see why people who are hard Left would vote for this new party when they could have just voted Green.

Oh excellent, mustn’t forget that dictator.

What is it with parts of the British left. I guess they get to vote and no-ones threatening to kneecap them so they can play revolutionary with other peoples lives.

At a guess all the independents plus the ones who were suspended. If they did that they would have more MPs than Reform and the Greens.

At least they will all gather together in one group so we can see them.

CaveMum · 03/07/2025 21:22

Who’d have thought Labour would start splitting before the Tories!

Fact is both Labour and the Conservatives are in reality 2 or 3 parties each forced into 1 - hard left, regular left, centre left, centre right, regular right and hard right. If the centrists could find a way of getting on with each other we might actually have a chance at a half decent Government!

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 03/07/2025 21:25

One of the very few things to be relieved about in UK politics of recent years is that the electorate decisively rejected the idea of having Corbyn as PM. Thank god for that. I can't stand him, never could. He sat on the back benches as a Labour MP for decades, defying the party whip and voting as he thought fit. Then he became Party Leader and forced rigid discipline on other MPs. Utter hypocrite. Not all that bright, either. Came from a very privileged background, spent part of his education in a small independent school, and still didn't manage to complete his degree. And now he's going to split the Labour vote and let Reform in. Bloody idiot.

She thinks trans women are women though. How is that wonderful?

Just saw this headline pop up. Interesting

She also supports palestine action group. The fact is, if you are an MP you cannot endorse a group that has attacked Uk military assets. It is just not ok. Your foremost concern must be the UK, you cannot defend a group that attacked british assets. It’s ridiculous. Like Corbyn and his “why don’t we invite the russians to get involved in this investigation into the assassination they committed ”. Fucking idiot.

applegingermint · 03/07/2025 21:30

Anything to stay relevant, I guess.

They’ll join up with the midlands and northern independents who won their seats on a pro Gaza platform.

Why someone’s main concern about their MP is how they feel about a war happening in a tiny country very far away is beyond me.
