There's been a great deal of WWII programming on the American public interest channel, and I keep getting the feeling that they want people to see the parallel with the Nazis.

Christiane Amanpour did a segment that briefly had Selma van de Perre, who was a resistance fighter and, amazingly, survived, eventually ending up in London.

Amanpour and Company | Resistance Fighter and Holocaust Survivor Selma van de Perre | Season 2021 | PBS

Selma Velleman's memories of the holocaust

‘My Name Is Selma’ tells of resistance, survival & loss

The coverage of WWII is related to the 80th anniversary of VE Day. That it's a reminder of Nazi behaviour vis a vis Trump's, is just a bonus.

No, it's been going on for a while. Are you familiar with Rick Steves? He's a travel expert with a regular television program on the public channel. He departed from his usual complimentary quick tours of charming places to do a somber look at WWII Germany a year or so ago.

Anyway, I was just very impressed by this brave woman.
