Trump has paused the tariffs for 3 days to continue the negotiations; this is how he always gets out of his impulsive decision-making. Carney should keep up the pressure. Trump needs to continue losing in every area, every horse be backs needs to lose.

He's absolute right. Our premiers have agreed to restore US booze to Canadian shelves, but tariff's are still higher that before Trump took office.

Canada needs to stop being the diplomat - hit the US hard and where it will hurt. Get the upper hand and Trump will soon withdraw particularly with the Midterms coming up.

We all need to stand up to Trump, Europe, Australia should hit the US with 1000% tariffs...end them for good.

It needs to be a harsh response. More so, I think. I cringe at all the posts talking about trips to (Florida) Disney etc. it's such a smack in the face to us in Canada when there is such a lack of commonwealth solidarity. Imho, of course.

I think Russia, N Korea, China and Iran in particular have been waging propaganda war on the west for years and as an example, that anti-vax/covid hoax/lockdown etc sentiments while genuine opinions, were propagated and spread by those countries to cause distrust and chaos. And it did.
We need to be keenly aware of anti gov't sentiment, criticisms etc, and the messaging online in forums.

Trump is absolutely finished, his only way out is to impose a Putin style dictatorship. We will have to see how the mid terms go but I think the republicans are in for a shock.
