How Does Europe Solve this Crisis

America is becoming increasingly hostile and predatory and with the increasing chance of it pulling out of NATO we have to prepare ourselves for a conflict not seen since the second world war.

This could very well be the start of a global conflict and one we will face without American help. America has become a Putin supporter and the interview I watched has confirmed my worst fears....we are in an age where untruths are told as truth. It was a shocking display of lies and bullying that has made history and one that Americans will have reconcile with there consciousness in 5 years time.

British people need to prepare ourselves mentally and come together . We are geographically European and we have to plan how we navigate this mess as a combined force.

I honestly think war with Russia is now inevitable.

There's a retired general who said that WW3 has already started.

I look around me and like you, wonder what will happen next. If we are genuinely afraid of anyone using the nuclear option, then we have to accept the financial, social and economic cost of supporting Ukraine's resistance to Russia in a way that could be the prelude to genuine peace talks where Russia is a good faith participant.

I'm afraid that we now know that the USA is no longer a trustworthy ally and will have to keep this in mind as we move forward. Personally, I feel that the policy of 'America First' is exactly that. They have moved to a transactional foreign policy and we have to acknowledge that. The Nato countries bar USA, will have to step up by possibly forming a new alliance that includes Ukraine and Georgia.

I have been to Georgia and other previously Soviet countries. People who have never been to former non-ethnic Russian, Soviet controlled countries have no idea how frightened those countries are of Russia. In the oil-rich,Caspian sea area, a few countries talked about forming an alliance to build their own O&G pipeline infrastructure so they could supply themselves and be independent on Russian supplies. They were so frightened of how Russia could choose to retaliate against them that it never happened.

We have to ramp up defence spending and think of how we could fight a war without bodies on the ground, but many people here would resist the cost and I'm not convinced that we could find suitable armed forces recruits.

The world was at 89 secs to midnight in January. It could well be less now.
