I don’t need to convince anyone. I’m not in a bubble in the UK. I am looking in from the outside. Apart from gossip and scandal, the British Royle family are no more relevant outside the UK than the Romanian or Dutch royal families are. It is simply a fact. But believe if you will that the British royals are more important to non British people than any other other royal family.

No one believes that the RF are more important than anyone else. But they do have a job to do and they are good at it. You only have to look at Trump's body language to see that he was very pleased with the invitation by the King.

Me too - agree that a calm measured lawyerly approach is what we need. I also agree that his job is very very hard right now. Some of the media have acknowledged that, others haven't. People don't have to agree with his every move but they could admit there is no great solution to any major problem at the moment and give his approach a chance.

It really is like dealing with a toddler, isn’t it! The other day I was idly pondering why his hair colour varies so much, so I googled it and it turns out it’s because he won’t sit still properly for the hairdresser. I think he's more dangerous than Hitler. I hate to say it, but Hitler was his own man and probably thought what he was doing was good for Germany.
