We know what’s wrong. What do we need to fix things?

I see and hear a lot of commentary about what’s wrong with the current government and obviously it’s concerning what’s happening with Trump and Elon in America of course.

I feel to counter this we need something, an alternative. Something to tackle and counteract the poor governance and rise of the right.

Is there a center-ist movement I’m missing? Something with positive messaging about an alternative.

Personally I think we need an overhaul in British policies. The current system is outdated - it’s madness that we have a unelected Royal Family and House of Lords that have a constitutional role.

And the first past the post system means once governments are voted in, they’re too powerful and can do what they want. It seems difficult to hold them to account. They can say whatever they want during a campaign and then do whatever they like once they’re in as they have a majority.

What do you think?

I think it's very difficult to do much when our press is run by a handful of billionaires who want to keep their power and wealth.

Social media, particularly Twitter, is being used by the far right and there is a lot of misinformation.

The left doesn't provide an alternative to the status quo. We're fighting like rats in a sack because of wealth disparity and people are blaming foreigners.

Why do you assume there's any consensus on "what's wrong"?
