Strange that our media slated just stop oil activists for blocking roads making headline news but not a word against farmers doing same and threatening to block off all our ports stopping vital medicines from reaching our shores.
Iam not saying one is any better than the other they both have a valid point to make.What i object too is the biased media feeds that are fed into our lives on a daily basis and this will only get worse if we let the likes of Musk high jack our democratic society.
These super rich right wing individuals will slowly eradicate your freedom to have individual thaught.Be careful for what you wish for.

The MSM has been bought for a long time.

The centre left governments of the last 15 years have already done what you are so worried about - ‘eradicate your freedom to have individual thaught’ .

In regards to the farmers, after years and years of being hammered by every angle, profits squeezed and red tape thrown at them every step of the way, the media are probably trying not to highlight their plight as it will only further feed into the current anti-government sentiment rising amongst the population. Starmers inheritance tax is one of their ploys to decimate the agricultural industry.

Please read again the main point is not farmers but the miss reporting of events by a large section of the media.
For example Musk commenting on muslim gangs in the uk grooming girls.The point is we know these groups exist but why is Musk going to such a point of talking about events that occured years ago in uk.
Its quite strange that a man who had previously paid of a wonen who had accused him of sexual assualt and also paid millions of pounds to Trups campaign who also has a sexaual conbiction against him.
I was simply pointing out that two similar events had been reported very differently.

I have sympathy for both the farmers and those who have been imprisoned for campaigning for more action on climate change as iam not that narrow minded as not see they both might have a point.
It just seemed strange that one group was being villanised while the outher was being pittied to the point that senior Conservative mps who had brought in laws to prevent these campaigns from taken place ,then stood at the very front of the campaign against the tax on farmers.I dont suppose it had anything todo with many of them being tory voters.
Equally the same people villanised our doctors and nurses who had put their own lives at risk during covid.What short selective memories some people have.
So the point is fair unbiased reporting is something worth fighting for not just propergander that is pushed out to support the growing racist beliefs of the insucure .

The main stream media publish what their overlords want.

With the eco loons protests they were widely published initially (and sometimes condoned) until they went too far and blocked the M25 and attacked things.

With the farmers protests there has been a complete blackout, weekly protests not being covered at all. Same as the anti lockdown protests, they just didn't exist in BBC MSM world despite tens or hundreds of thousands attending.

The fact that they're weekly is what stops them being 'news'. After a certain point there's nothing to report. They were widely reported at first as were anti lockdown protests.

Farmers produce the food without which we would starve ( unless you want to rely on foreign imports, good luck with that).the ‘just stop oil’ want us to sit in the dark or not go out because , well, someone somewhere may benefit from this inactivity in the future.

These do not seem to me to be equivalent.

I have several friends and acquaintances who are farmers. I thought I might have something sensible to add, but apparently not!
