Who’s who in the Musk ‘A-team’ vying to shape Trump 2.0

Out of all news in the recent past I find this one the scariest. The implications are really chilling, it's not even about Musk as such but future and meaning of democracy.

For those who can't access some extracts:

"Musk has also asked Trump to consider appointing two SpaceX staff to the Department of Defense"

"Earlier in the week, Musk replied to Luckey on X, saying: “Very important to open [the Department of Defense and US intelligence agencies] to entrepreneurial companies like yours.”"

Well at least he's out there in the open. They are not usually.

He must feel invincible.
But the fact of unelected person effectively appointing government of the most powerful country in the world and having access to its Defence... OMG

I wonder if any elections even make sense in future given control over media or it's just a pointless waste of time and money.

It's been pointed out by experts that even if he fired every single government worker, he could not cut two trillion from the budget. He is completely out of his depth and has the mind of a child who always has to have a new toy. One day it's a rocket ship and the next it's a dictatorship.
Yes, he is scary as hell, a completely narcissistic toddler who now has almost unlimited power.

He is a very creepy creature who buys babies from "surrogates" without even being in a relationship with the (adoptive) mothers.

It's not even about Musk and his intentions. It's about fact that an individual can buy elections and then appoint US government.

Google how Dominic Cummings run Brexit referendum, how his approach was data and social media driven. It became a mainstream now.

I'm usually very down to earth but this feels like the end of the world we used to know.

Yeah, I know. I just couldn't resist a chance to slam Musk.
The world we used to know is long gone my friend. Social media destroyed it. It gave lunatics the power to spread their lies worldwide. People should know better than to believe the nonsense they read on there, but they don't.

He's been called America's first lady which seems very apt.

I'm waiting for when Trump and Musk fall out. Two huge egos so it's bound to end in tears.

He's made up a job for Musk. He's going to co lead the Department of Government Efficiency in an advice and guidance capacity.

Exciting times! Trump says it:

“will pave the way for my administration to dismantle government bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure federal agencies”.

What could go wrong? Can't wait to see what the other billionaires are doing.
