How do black, Asian & Latino people planning to vote for Trump not realise they are turkeys voting for xmas?
It truly astounds me. 🤯

I assume there are elements of what he says that make sense to them, and they don't feel the same way about what Harris says. I suspect some of their concerns about the economy, social change, foreign policy etc are the same as those of white Americans and for whatever reason I assume that they prefer Trump's answers. I assume that black, Asian and Latino American voters are made up of millions of individuals in a range of different economic, social and geographical situations and they will feel differently about different issues due to that. I don't feel that calling them turkeys is likely to change any minds.

I think the same thing about women voting for him. He's just so unrepentantly sexist and racist I can't fathom why these groups would vote for him. It's insane.

I thought BAME as an acronym had gone away. Just say 'not white' as that's what it means.

You seem pretty sure of everything about them, aren't you? You do know some Americans have found their way to mumsnet for one reason or another, including 'BAME' ones.

Also if you're so sure they aren't on Mumsnet, who're you asking to answer your OP then? Were you just posting to gossip about BAME Americans who're like turkeys voting for Christmas because they won't vote for Harris or did you want actual answers from them - the same people who aren't here?

Only 8% of non -white voters will (or have) vote for Trump according to the polls and they must have their reasons. Same as everyone else.

Most Trumpers are turkeys, anyway. (Or is that too much American slang?)

Some of it is a mystery, but one sad interpretation for black men is that they just didn't want a black woman. Or, let's just face it - Americans hate women generally.
