..who is the potential Prime Minister from the other party that you think we missed out on?

For me it's William Hague.

David Milliband

John Smith.

(I don’t share the Labour canonisation of him, but he was clearly a very decent and capable man.)

@Rummly Interesting about John Smith. Yes, he appeared decent and capable. But it's easy to appear decent and capable before the realities of the job kick in!

Rory Stewart for me.
Really smart guy. Seems nice as well.
Plus when the Tory's were all fessing up to drug use because the press were going to expose one of them and they didn't know which one....he had the best story.
Opium at the wedding of a tribal leader in Afghanistan apparently. Would have been rude to refuse.

CurlewKate · 12/09/2024 16:41

@unlimiteddilutingjuice My unlikely crush is Rory Stewart! But I suspect he isn't mentally tough enough to survive the job.

Rory Stewart

I've just started his book -50 pages in and I'm hooked

Windchimesandsong · 12/09/2024 16:50

Don't support one party. Floating voter, but I'll give one for the Conservatives and one for Labour

David Davis (better than Cameron)
John Smith (infinitely better than Blair)

BIossomtoes · 13/09/2024 15:01

Definitely Rory Stewart.
