I thought it's worth noting that when Trump was shot, she didn't even bother to fly in as a normal supportive caring wife might do - even though she has tons of staff that could have instantly facilitated things for her.
She just had a speechwriter compose a comment for her.

Does anyone actually believe this was a love marriage? It is so obviously transactional on both sides. She has probably got to the point where she just does the bare minimum she can get away with.

As far as I can there, there are some die-hard Trumpers who think this was love. It's curious about Melania. She was a third-rate model without much education, but she was quite attractive, and it wouldn't have been unusual for her to look for a rich husband. The thing is, she could have found a reasonably rich guy her own age and probably been happy, but she opted for a much richer guy who was much older.
Every so often, I momentarily feel sorry for her, because she got in over her head. But then I think, Naw, she made her bed - let her lie in it.

I cant say I especially warm to her either. But still . . . interesting to watch!

Melania is married to a billionaire, who has been, and will shortly be married to the most powerful man on earth. She had every opportunity to divorce him in the past 4 years, but didn’t.

At some point during his last presidency she made a few faux pars and then straight after she stepped back. I think for some reason, she’s deliberately kept back.

I have some respect for her because so far she has managed to keep her son out of the limelight and away from the tacky, horrific Trump family circus

Of course, it's also possible that the kid simply refuses to participate. Also, there is substantial speculation that he has some kind of mental issue, like autism. It's possible that Trump doesn't want him in public if he won't fawn on his father like the older sons.

Well, she likely kept back because by most standards, she's the worst First Lady America has had for a long time. First, she's the least educated in decades. Second, she's has no culture or intelligence; her hobby is reading fashion magazines. Third, she has no real causes; at one point she was going to take a stand against bullying, which caused mockery, considering what a big bully Trump is.
But apart from the fact that she has been caught in remarks indicating contempt for the public and her "job," she's also embarrassed about her imperfect English. Mind you, she had years, decades, to get the best tutors in town, but chose to do nothing. Just like her husband.

I'm not Melania's biggest fan by any stretch of the imagination and am passionately anti Trump but I don't think you can describe a woman who is fluent in 5 languages uncultured and unintelligent! Uninterested in getting approval from the masses, yes.

That actually makes me like her more. I loved her hat and outfit too. She reminded me of alexis carrington.

Yes I think it’s unfair to say she is unintelligent. We don’t know anything about her really or any of her opinions. She has no interest in sharing them.

She was embarrassed early on when her speech writer purposely plagiarised Michelle Obama’s speech so I don’t think she’ll be making many speechs.

That hat seemed to be a way to hide away - not have anyone focus on her facial expressions.

I like her.
