Did they mean to play things can only get better as Rishi announced the election. That could be taken either way.

It was probably that tool Steve Bray, who seems to believe that freedom of expression means drowning other people's voices out. Can't understand why so many fawn over him.

I don't like the Tories but actually felt a bit sorry for Rishi just now. I can't believe the police couldn't have pulled the plug on that racket. It literally was drowning him out. And him being soaked, sorry I just felt sorry for him. Someone could have held an umbrella.

I expect Murdoch channels will have screened it out by the time it is replayed. Nothing like honest reporting...

Hilariously appropriate shambles of an election announcement. I think the Tories have just given up as I had assumed they'd hold out for as long as possible just hoping to God some terrible scandal would occur in the Labour leadership/they could manufacture some smear - which wouldn't have even helped.

All I kept thinking was "you call Starmer boring"

Even with the music and rain he sounded like he'd had 10 diazepam and wanted to sleep and send us all to sleep.

Roll on 4th July I say. It's time the people of this country had a chance to say what they think instead of being told what we think and want.

He is being treated like dirt for all the mistakes of Cameron, Johnson and Truss. I wouldn’t blame him either.
