“Yeah, sure. We have biological women and we have trans women [biological men]. And they’re both women… Most of the public can get that.”

Does Labour really believe what they are saying? How can they tell such a lie.

Do ‘most of the public’ get that trans women are biological men? Do ‘most of the public’ get that as a result of this thinking men are able to enter any aspect of ‘women only’ areas?

“When I ask how Labour will handle the accusation from Tories that “Keir doesn’t know what a woman is”, she says, without acknowledging any shift, “Yeah, sure. We have biological women and we have trans women. And they’re both women: one is a biological woman through sex, and one is a trans woman who has transitioned. Most of the public can get that.”

Well, quite. I know a lot of women who refuse to vote for a party that doesn't recognize their sex. Labour are completely underestimating women if they think we're going to just accept this nonsense and overlook the harm it poses for women and girls.

I can't vote for a party that thinks men can be women and are happy to support an ideology that is harming children, putting women and girls at risk, is homophobic and reinforcing harmful gender stereotypes.

She’s wrong. They aren’t both women.

Me neither.

Hang on, she's done a transphobia there! We constantly get told it's transphobic to say "biological women". Does she get a pass because she's an ally?

If not that the public don't get it they don't believe it.

She doesn't get that.

So Rayner doesn't know what a woman is, and thinks Starmer doesn't either, or will pretend not to?
Pretty sure most of the public understand that transwomen exist but that they're not actually women.

Let’s just say we know it won’t be ‘picked up on’!
