Not only did he get close enough to empty glitter all over him, it took what felt like an age for someone to drag him away. He didn’t seem to know what to do with his 5 minutes of fame, nothing of sense came out of his mouth as if surprised he was given the chance to speak.

Just watched it. Agree! How come several security people were close enough to run up and tackle the protestor after a few seconds, but he was able to approach and get right up to and behind Starmer without intervention?

I'm not KS's biggest fan at all but that must have been terrifying. After what happened to Jo Cox and David Amess. This guy could have easily done the same if he'd been inclined.
