Planning application help please!

Hello I put in for planning for an extension last September. It was due to be approved by delegated powers but a counsellor decided that it should be called in to a committee meeting. 4 months later and I’m still waiting for a committee date. Does anyone know how long these things take? My planning officer is not updating me. Is it normal for me to be left hanging for months with no update?

Contact your councillor. Ask him/her to find out what is going on. The Councillor asking it to go to committee has to have grounds for this. Not a whim. What injections are listed? I would try higher up in the planning department too. This isn’t acceptable. Not untypical though.
