This story is just absolutely heartbreaking and fills me with rage. I put this in politics because the underfunding of councils and the social housing sector has led to the absolutely tragic death of this gorgeous like boy today. I’ve read his story on the news in all the papers and it’s just so heartbreaking. I just cannot believe this has occurred in the UK in 2022.
I don’t think there’s any point in anyone resigning over it because actually the issue is totally the lack of decent funding for our welfare sector and local councils. The blood of this is on the Tory Governments’ hands and it just beggars belief that we are in such a dire state of affairs here in the UK public sector across the board.
Heartbroken for his family.
The photos of the mould in their flat are astounding. The report says they found mould in his blood and lungs- how oh how can this have happened and what on earth can we do to force better public sector funding? Can we really wait for another GE. Seems too far away to me.
