Hardly astounding !!

This is an invented war to satisfy Putin's personal ego. To make him look like a Soviet strong man, like all that bizarre bare-chested strutting.

Many Russians have Ukrainian links and to them, it feels like declaring war on their own families. Of course they are horrified.

As for thinking their leaders are fools, I'm sure that is true of soldiers in many armies. I can't imagine our forces think much of Truss at the moment!

Well, it seems astounding to me - that soldiers would feel so betrayed, so befouled, and speak about it so directly.
