just feeling so powerless and heartbroken... govt so right wing incompetent arrogant corrupt, have completely lost the ot with covid19, are politicising key posts at NHS, bbc, defunding health, education, privatising by back (front duringcovid19) door, yet have huge majority - there is no end in sight after ten years.. meanwhile ministers and tory donors live parallel lives with multiple homes, private education, private health care, private transport.......

What was the alternative? I couldn't have voted for Corbyn and all that madness.

The administration I've preferred over the last 10 years has been the tory\lib dems. Tories trying to cut spending with the lib Dems blocking the more extreme Tory initiatives. I know people hated the lib Dems because of university fees, but as a whole it worked better. And I know I'll get shot down for saying so.

Maybe KS will go down better with the voters. He couldn,'t be worse. But he must be more constructive. More positive. With all the gloom & doom, people need that.

And you are naïve enough to think this doesn't apply to Labour? The workers who haven't felt any pain throughout this - union bosses.

Can you imagine Labour responding to Covid any better? Or would it be worse? Protecting their members schools would have remained shut.

Defunding health - not much for facts then.
Privatising - how?
Private transport - do you mean a car?

While there may not have been a top line reduction in budget, the impact across healthcare has been huge reduction in spending. GP good will has been exhausted and basic services have been at risk. Waiting lists have shot back up again. Pandemic preparation which was significant under the Brown/Blair government was cut to the bone.

Brown and Blair didn't actually do anything though. They called for international cooperation, Brown suggested a pandemic would be a crisis, Blair had a plan.

None of this was actual real world effort. Instead we got PFI that left our current NHS servicing debt.

OP I know quite a lot of MPs from several parties. Their kids are at state schools, they use the NHS. They don’t have multiple houses or use private schools or private healthcare.
And I’m not sure what you mean by private transport- it’s not really that rare to have a car... and plenty of MPs use public transport all the time.
