Why is it seemingly just fine for him to keep on lying?

To be fair, Corbyn isn't above it, his terrorist lies being the scariest.

cdtaylornats · 19/11/2019 22:28

Johnstone can lie for the same reson Corbyn is allowed too.

ArthurtheCatsHumanSlave · 20/11/2019 17:11

They all lie, misdirect, and bend truths.

MrsMaiselsMuff · 20/11/2019 17:17

This thread is about Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister, telling numerous and repeated lies.

Anyone posting "But Jeremy Corbyn..." needs to give their heads one almighty shake.

Coppersulphate · 20/11/2019 17:29

All politicians lie.
Corbyn lies about his links to terrorist organisations.

At least Boris can be trusted to get Brexit done so we can move on. And the Tories are much better managing the economy. The country would be trashed under Corbyn even if he can make damson jam.

socialistmamma · 20/11/2019 18:09

Tories are much better at managing the economy? Hmm.... debt as a percentage of GDP has risen from 65% in 2010 to 83% in 2019...

Tories are better at managing the economy??? Maybe for the 1%. Look around you. Ffs

Ahahahahahahaha

Hahaha

RedSheep73 · 21/11/2019 07:13

How have we got to the point where we accept that 'all politicians lie', as if it's ok? and then give the prizes to the one who tells the biggest whoppers? why on earth would you vote for someone you know is lying to you and doesn't even bother to hide it?

Marigold76 · 21/11/2019 07:28

It isn't fine for him to keep lying. The media really need to start calling him out on every single lie. They are doing the country a huge disservice not to.

It shows his absolute distain for the electorate. Mirrored, it appears, by the rest of the current Conservative party. (The changing of the twitter name to Fact-check UK for example)

Johnson thinks he's so much cleverer than us that he can lie about the big stuff AND the little, inconsequential stuff, and we will swallow it because we aren't clever enough to unpick it.

Not all politicians lie, some are very hardworking and dedicated. If you think you're being lied to by all of them and that is acceptable, it tells me you are (like Johnson assumes) a lazy thinker, uneducated or entirely complicit in the deceit. There is no such thing as democracy if you think everyone is lying.

Karwomannghia · 21/11/2019 07:34

It’s funny bordering on bizarre to see the same Tory supporting headlines trotted out word for word with absolutely no substantiation. It doesn’t have to be like this!

fedup21 · 21/11/2019 07:37

And the Tories are much better managing the economy.

Some people must simply walk around with their eyes shut.

tenredthings · 21/11/2019 07:39

For anyone disputing that Johnson's a first class fibber this video calls out all his lies in the Corbyn debate.

Coppersulphate · 21/11/2019 22:52

Yes, I do think all politicians lie but I did not say that it is acceptable.
However, seeing as they all lie, I just vote for the one that I think will do the best for all of the country. And that is Boris Johnson.
I am concerned about Jeremy Corbyn's links to terrorist organisations.
And all of the nationalisation will bankrupt us.
And taxes will go right up.
Corbyn is a hard left communist being controlled by len mcclusky and John O'Donnell.
