Any usual conservative voters out there thinking of swapping to lib dem if there is a snap election soon?

I'm a Labour voter and for me that takes precedence over any Brexit stance... but I was interested to see if Brexit was effecting tory voters.
I know a few people who were Tory voters but who strongly backed remain in the referendum and so now will no longer vote for the party. I wondered if that's just the people I know or whether this was a widespread thing?
I feel there must be loads of tory voters who dont want brexit... seeing the impact it's going to have on people running businesses etc...

They need to get a new line. Can't see why anyone would want them except for a short term view on their position r.e. the referendum.

Absolutely not. However, as a staunch conservative in the past I will now be voting for The Brexit Party. Let’s get the vote of the majority of people done.

Yes, my Parents, Conservative remainers. For the first time ever they are voting Lib Dem. They voted green in the EU elections.

It wasn’t a majority of people who voted for Brexit. I have voted Conservative because my MP has s special role and was a very good constituency MP. I will go Lib Dem because my MP is standing down. I’m Remain. Dislike Johnson. Don’t like right wing policies or ERG. I’d rather see a fresh wave of politicians from the sensible middle ground. It’s best for all of us to get back to this.

I can only speak for Scotland but i know a couple of friends who have voted Conservative in last 2 elections are switching to Lib Dems.

I have also heard quite a few voters actually planning to switch back to the SNP after deserting them in 2017 election. I think the SNP could easily end up with about 50 MP's again.

Yes DH and his wider family, although they swapped during the last election ( apart from MIL who changed during European election)

I have sometimes voted conservative but wouldn't consider it now.

It’s also really stupid to think the Lib Dem’s could have influenced every Conservative policy whilst they were in Coalition. Fees for students are not the end of the world as 50% never pay them back at all. Other issues have had a far bigger impact on people and Brexit will do. Lib Dem are the Remain party that could halt the madness.

Listened to Sophie Ridgy's interview of the Boris Johnson today and it was great. She did not let him get away with his usual waffle and making grandiose statements that actually when you examine them mean nothing.

She exposed him for the serial waffler he is, and another 5 weeks of this and hopefully more of the public will realise this.

Between Jacob Rees Mogg's crass and pretty sickening comments on the Grenfell Tower fire victims today, then defended by another delightful member of the ERG Andrew Ridgen, were bad enough.

However when you add this to potential Tory candidate Francesca O'briens comments that recipients of welfare benefits "should be put down", then it is easy to be reminded why the Tory party earned the nickname the nasty party.

The purge of what i would call more decent and moderate Conservatives has been alarming and looking at that Cabinet it sends a shiver down my spine should they get back in power.

I'm torn. I live in Rory Stewart's constituency, which has only ever been a Tory seat, and with a significant majority.

Had Stewart been standing again as an independent I would have voted for him. If he had stood again as a conservative I may have voted Tory for the first time in my life. As it is I will continue to pointlessly vote for either Lib Dem or labour. Probably Lib Dem because they are remain and because I can't stand the momentum crap.

Tim Farron's constituency next door is going to be a very very interesting one to watch on the 12th/13th Dec. He only narrowly avoided defeat by the Tories in the last election.

During a discussion about woman and sexual assaults he came out with the charming view that woman ""keep their knickers on".

Yet another reason why i cannot bring myself to vote for the Tory party in heir current form.

My (very few) Conservative friends are voting Labour, because the LibDems don't stand a chance in our area. They've been lifelong Tories, but even they admit that austerity has gone too far.

Also my area has a big farming community, and they're so concerned by a Tory Brexit that they're not voting for them any longer. I don't know who they will go for instead.

I am voting LibDem for the first time and simply because I am a Remainer and can’t stand Johnson or Corbyn. If Corbyn was replaced by a more centrist leader there would be no contest and Johnson would not have been asking for an election.

Please don't vote the Tories back in.
