I cannot personally vote as I have lived overseas for too long. Who would you vote for and why?

Conservative. always.

Hold my nose and vote Lib Dem. I’d defect back to labour if Corbyn was removed.

SNP as they are pro remain and do fight for Scots in Westminster.

It’s funny how so many people say Labour are unelectable with Corbyn as leader yet nothing is done to address it. People will though say something in public and something different in the ballot box.

I have a great fear as a two person working family to have Diane Abbott, JC and McDonnell in power. They really hate people like DH and I and will tax and tax us to fund their crackpot ideas. I honestly think if that horror happens we will end up moving abroad.

Probably Liberal Democrat's. None of the parties represent my values. The Liberal Democrat's seem the least incompetent out of a bad bunch.

I'm genuinely concerned for the future under our new prime minister (I hope I'm proved wrong). I voted Lib Dem in the 1992 general election (the first election I was eligible to vote in) then I switched to Labour. I reluctantly voted Labour in the last election and can't ever see myself voting them again. I don't feel that we live in a democracy anymore. It's sad times for this country.

Probably Green. I hate the TWAW nonsense but I think LibDems, my other party are as bad 😣

I literally have no idea

I'd never vote labour
I cannot vote conservative anymore (though been a while since I have anyway)
Nigel farage and his Brexit party can go shit their vile selves

Lib dems were strong in my constituency for years and best placed to unseat current tory mp, it's a strong lib dem local council that do well so likely I'd vote LD

Conservative, as I always have done. I might not agree with a lot of what they do but the thought of a Labour government fills me with dread.

Labour. Greens or lib dems at a push.

Shocking to see how many posters here support tory policies!

I have been Labour all my life but didn’t vote for them last time and won’t this time. Until Corbyn goes and the Unions power is diminished I won’t be voting for them again. Lib Dem cos I would never vote conservative in a million years

Lib Dem's, having been a life long Labour supporter.

We're now onto unelected PM number 2 of a minority government with a weak mandate.

I don't believe there are many people even in the Conservative party who truly believe that Johnson will do a good job leading the UK. They just want someone in who will make us leave the EU so they can stop losing votes.

Labour. I'm not a Corbynite and have concerns about the influence of Momentum, but my local MP is a good Labour MP who values community and public services.

Report

I wouldn't vote for Corbyn

I wouldn't vote for Jo Swinson or the Lib Dems as they are so determined to dismantle women's sex based rights

So tory probably.

SNP (somewhat reluctantly, I don't agree with all their policies) I want out of this ridiculous shitshow, if only for my kid and the next generation. An endorsement from Trump alone tells you all you need to know, but BJ as PM and a cabinet full of Brexiteers is the nail in the coffin for me.

I always think ppl that hate Diane Abbott are racists

What about ppl that don't hate her, but think she's an incompetent hypocrite?

Lib Dem's. I don't like TwAW but am a staunch remainer I cannot vite conservative or brexit (or labour for that matter) and think labours cunning renationalisation plans will screw over the pension funds which are majority shareholders in most nationalised industries causing most pensions to be horribly devalued.

BloggersNet · 24/07/2019 19:24

So a lot of you are mainly voting against someone rather than for a party? Not sure that's how it works....

Report
whirlwinds · 24/07/2019 19:24

Lib Dems as they are so determined to dismantle women's sex based rights funny one, they are fighting for lgbt rights and feminist that can't support this are not very welcome. Leaning more Lib Dem by the minute.

Report
kingsassassin · 24/07/2019 19:25

Of course that can be how it works @BloggersNet. If there's no one party you can support whole heartedly, you decide what you're prepared to compromise on and what you're notHmm.

After seeing the disaster the Tories have brought to the country, and the idiot that is Boris Johnson, I’ll never understand why anyone would vote Conservative unless they are being very selfish.

SNP. Hopefully Scotland will become independent.

However, until that day my vote will make no difference.

I'm torn. I usually vote Conservative (except for when I was indoctrinated by teachers in my college years) but I might vote for the Brexit party until such time as we are out of the EU.

I don't think it will matter anyway as, given the state of most parties atm, none of them would command a majority. I think we would have coalitions for many years to come if a GE was to be called any time soon.
