Just that really. Is it unrealistic to wonder if right wingers use this platform?

I wouldn't call myself a right winger, but I read the Telegraph, the Wall Street Journal and recently let my subscription the Economist lapse. Draw your own conclusions.

SilverySurfer · 13/10/2018 11:27

I'm a Conservative MNetter and think the alternatives are risible.

mostdays · 13/10/2018 11:30

I'm not one but there are plenty here, I read lots of posts from people who lean to the right.

Hoppinggreen · 13/10/2018 11:33

I’m pretty right wing in a lot of ways and detest Corbyn et al but I’m also a strong Brexit Remainer and a feminist.
I always voted conservative until the last GE when I couldn’t bring myself to vote for our very pro Brexit MP, who isn’t representing his constituency IMO as we voted Remain. I voted Lib,but only because I knew the Lib candidate and he’s great. However, unfortunately Labour won and our MP is now mostly interested in issues that don’t affect me really so I don’t feel she represents me either
In another GE I probably won’t vote

Karachii · 13/10/2018 11:40

I'm a remainer feminist fiscal conservative (small c).

I can't call myself a big C Conservative at the mo because of hideous stupid Brexit, but nothing else fits.

honeyskye · 13/10/2018 11:41

Shy tories I reckon

HoustonBess · 09/11/2018 14:48

This site is all about sharing - not surprised there aren't too many right wingers about!

Seniorschoolmum · 09/11/2018 14:57

Houstonbess - was that really necessary?

Not sure I’m right wing. It varies, depending on the issues. I loath the Academies policy in schools, voted for David Cameron and liked the Tory/Lib Dem alliance. I prefer public spending being under control so fiscally conservative with a small c.
I find sexism irritating & petty, and loath racism. I think Tony Blair should be in jail.
What does that make me? Smile

Clinicalwaste · 01/02/2019 17:41

I am a conservative. Plenty of people have right wing opinions. Apparently the new generation coming up, gen z? Are the most right wing yet. I am glad as the far left terrifies me.

cdtaylornats · 02/02/2019 08:33

Houstonbrass - much of this site is about sneery criticism without actually helping which is why left wing opinions are seen here - mostly promulgated by people who would run a mile if they had a socialist government.

TeddyIsaHe · 02/02/2019 08:35

I’m wholly left. But I do see and understand why people vote right. I wish they didn’t! But that’s just down to my personal preference.

There’s plenty of right-wing mnetters on here. Political threads do tend to get a bit heated though, especially given the current circumstances.

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 02/02/2019 08:36

I'd hardly call the Conservatives right wing. Fractionally right of centre at most.

Toffeeandcoffee · 02/02/2019 08:39

I agree. My DD is in her last Yr at boarding school (we're not well off, we get help with fees) and apparently the houses all had celebratory parties when Trump was elected and alsowhen Brexit was announced.
An awful lot of rightwingers in the next generation.

I think people always think young people are naturally left leaning which is not always the case.

caringcarer · 02/02/2019 08:45

I have voted Conservative all of my adult life. I voted to leave EU. If we don't get Brexit and leave single market and customs union as promised in manifesto i have written to my MP to tell him i won't vote for him again if he personally votes against those policies. I would hate Corbyn to be elected as don't trust Labour with economy. Think how bad Brown was. No words for how evil Blair was and still is.

Megan2018 · 02/02/2019 08:46

I am a member of the Conservative party (although have threatened to leave as am appalled by how our MP has behaved-the man is an arse but will get in forever). I am Centre-right, very moderate/liberal though in many ways, pro Brexit. Difficult line to tread! I basically need a different party that is neither left or right.
I live rurally though, I’d never vote Labour-they do nothing for the countryside, so it has to be Conservative until there is something better.
