Austerity. Stop punishing people because of (in the vast majority of cases) circumstances beyond their control.

(Brexit a close second, though we still have no idea what that actually means so it's a while off yet!)

drwitch · 27/07/2018 18:39

Anybody else

GummyGoddess · 27/07/2018 18:41

Brexit as I think austerity will be even worse when it goes through.

Jason118 · 25/08/2018 20:53

Brexit because nobody and I mean nobody can show me how our country will be better off after.

MyBrexitUnicornDied · 25/08/2018 21:01

Brexit. It’s going to be either quite damaging and pointless or a monumental cluster fuck of a disaster.
It’s sucking the air out of everything.

Second choice would be to stop the slide towards authoritarianism that seems to be prevalent at the moment.

MajesticWhine · 25/08/2018 21:11

Stop Brexit obviously

MyBrexitUnicornDied · 25/08/2018 21:16

Oooh I’ve changed my mind.

Brexit is still no 1 but my second choice would be to ditch First Past the Post.

Unescorted · 25/08/2018 21:17

Brexit because it is time limited closely followed by austerity to tackle the root cause of people voting for Brexit in the first place.

LeftRightCentre · 25/08/2018 21:20

Brexit. Austerity (PIP especially).

catlovingdoctor · 25/08/2018 21:20

I’d stop arms sales to Saudi Arabia which they use to brutalise Yemen. Disgraceful.

WrongOnTheInternet · 31/08/2018 22:29

I'd want to stop attacks on local government first, just for a bit of variety. Bring back local-level (might need to split some county councils in two to improve demographics) control and responsibility on lots of things, improve democratic control as a result, and see what changes. Oh, and get the government out of London. That's two things, but politicians often manage to do one thing and say another so binary action should be ok.

LOVELYDOVEY05 · 04/09/2018 16:20

Cuts in Council funded Adult social care. This will blow up big time in the next year

MM18 · 04/09/2018 16:28

Brexit. Theresa May calling a halt to it for the bollocks idea it is has literally replaced winning the lottery as my favourite daydream.

If you think austerity is bad now, wait and see how bad it becomes after Brexit. I’m old enough to remember the days when there was London, and there was wasteland. I grew up in the latter and am thankful that I could make it out of there. Those of my friends who didn’t are very pro-Brexit and insufficiently exposed to critical thinking to realise this is not in their interests in any way whatsoever.

catlady3 · 04/09/2018 16:41

Brexit because once that's done, the UK will never get back in on the same terms again. Besides, the damage (which is already starting to show) will be irreversible. Once brexit is off the table and no longer clogging up parliament, social reforms are urgently needed. Maybe without brexit, the so called opposition wouldn't be so up its own behind and able to get things moving.

ShackUp · 15/09/2018 04:30

Brexit has to be stopped. It's delusional and harmful.

Rebecca36 · 15/09/2018 04:49

Brexit. We don't have austerity atm and if we stay in the EU, may not happen.
Benefit cuts.

Talkstotrees · 23/09/2018 11:12

Brexit. Nothing positive is possible until this is resolved.

I also want FPTP (pipe dream though I suspect).

Tightening up tax laws (potentially higher taxes).

More public spending.

WTFIsAGleepglorp · 30/09/2018 20:54

Well, clearly the Tories disagree with you all.

They're going to ban flammable cladding, but not if it's already been installed. Confused

For me, austerity and Brexit. In that order.

Moussemoose · 30/09/2018 20:58

Brexit, Brexit and then Brexit.

I have spent my life campaigning for constitutional reform but Brexit is the clusterfuck to end all goatfucks. I can't imagine how shit it will be if we don't stop it.
