More on Trump

It is a Trump world and as the Modi saying goes

“Aab Ki Baar Trump Sarkar”

and as the Stump for Trump Sisters say

"Get on the Trump Train or get the hell out of the way"

Rock'n'roll

You know, if it wasnt so bad, it would be funny. What on earth is going on with this utter refusal to accept democracy? Do they need to go back to school? Have we really bred a society that truly cant accept not getting their own way or "everyone ISNT a winner"?

Making this sort of 'right to protest' acceptable, is wrong on so many levels. Its unacceptable. Its utterly disrespectful to the democratic process and society we live in, and the perpetrators should be locked up until they cool down and grow up.

Missswatch · 19/12/2016 23:17

Lweji. You and your SJW buddies lost

claig · 19/12/2016 23:17

'So now I don't know if they do support him'

The National Enquirer is 100% behind Trump. I think the owner is one of Trump's pals. Good person.

Exactly Chris. These on the left have had a trophy for losing too long

Sorry to repeat ad neaseam but... are women fighting their oppressors in the middle east getting trophies for losing?

Thanks Missswatch.... I am surprised there have been 6 'faithless' votes so far, but I suppose when you look at the pressure these people have been put under (some of the college have lost huge business accounts and their families have been threatened) I can understand theyve buckled.

Yep Claig, get your tickets for the inaugeration Smile

DarthPlagueis · 19/12/2016 23:22

In a democracy Chris, there is the right to oppose, even when someone has won an election. Certainly there is the right to oppose when it appears that a foriegn power interfered, and one of the candidates encouraged it. Oh and the USA there is the right to free speech:

" the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances"

DarthPlagueis · 19/12/2016 23:23

"These on the left have had a trophy for losing too long"

We won both of the last elections, with a bigger majority, and keeping the popular vote. Lets not get ahead of yourself here.

squishysquirmy · 19/12/2016 23:23

I have accepted that Trump will be president even though he is a mendacious, corrupt twat. I also accept that Brexit will go ahead, even though I was a remain voter. I know not everyone will agree with me, that's because we don't actually suffer from the Borg thinking you attribute to us.

However, criticising world leaders and holding governments to account for their actions is not undemocratic. Neither is protesting, even if I don't agree with what they're saying.

"the perpetrators should be locked up until they cool down and grow up."

Shit, you've forgotten all your free speech and McCarthyist accusation bollocks quickly haven't you Chris?

MagzFarquarson · 19/12/2016 23:24

Realistically Lweji Hillary would have been an extension of Obama. What benefits has he brought to the world? We were all full of hope 8 years ago - he won on a promise of Change - but what did he actually do to make the world a better place? Might be mistaken, but I think the world is now in quite a lot more shit than it was under Bush - and that's saying something!

This "we won you lost nyah nyah stuff" reminds me of when people take personal pride in their team winning at football (which has always seemed a bit baffling to me, but then I'm not really a sports fan).

Missswatch · 19/12/2016 23:26

Shit, you've forgotten all your free speech and McCarthyist accusation bollocks quickly haven't you Chris?

I think Chris means the idiots smashing up cars and beating Trump supporters up

squishysquirmy · 19/12/2016 23:27

"What benefits has he brought to the world? We were all full of hope 8 years ago - he won on a promise of Change - but what did he actually do to make the world a better place?"

I think Obama was blocked by Congress a lot, and didn't achieve as much as he wanted due to this.

Missswatch · 19/12/2016 23:27

You can protest, sure, as is your right. Start riots then you are breaking the law and get locked up

DarthPlagueis · 19/12/2016 23:28

"he won on a promise of Change - but what did he actually do to make the world a better place?"

A 70 months stretch of job growth? Reduced the national deficit? Grew the economy? All the while being blocked on many things by the Republican Congress.

Oh and he also inherited the economy in an awful state during a world financial crisis. The world is a lot better because of Obama than it was under Bush.

squishysquirmy · 19/12/2016 23:29

Then why didn't he make that clear Miss?
There are already plenty of laws in place to punish people for criminal damage and assault.

Lweji · 19/12/2016 23:29

I don't think the world is worse now than under Bush.
9/11
Iraq
Afghanistan

And the seeds for the economic crisis that blew over as soon as Obama got in.
Obama who couldn't get much of what he wanted through because of House Republican majorities that tend to be against anything the Democrats propose (see Supreme Court as a recent case). Welfare reform was never great because of that blockage too.
The same Republicans that have full power now...

Is this coming from the Trump supporters who said they wouldn't accept the results and threatened "another revolutionary" war if Hillary won? Or Roger Stone saying there would be a blood bath?

Missswatch · 19/12/2016 23:32

Squishy I imagine Chris was overcome with a euphoric wave of happiness and forgot to mention it

squishysquirmy · 19/12/2016 23:32

Isn't the world coming to something when the Pope is more willing to believe scientific evidence than senior member of the US cabinet-to-be?

squishysquirmy · 19/12/2016 23:34

"Squishy I imagine Chris was overcome with a euphoric wave of happiness and forgot to mention it"

Misss. Since you know so much about Chris was he pissing himself, spurting coffee down his nose or crying salty tears of joy at the time? And to what use would you put that salt?

DeepanKrispanEven · 19/12/2016 23:34

Being pally with the owner of the National Enquirer is something most people would be ashamed to admit to. After all, they are the people who dragged him into the embarrassment of telling the world that Ted Cruz's father had been with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before he assassinated Kennedy; and who reported that the government was harbouring space aliens. Still, I can see why a man whose own relationship with the truth is distinctly shaky might not see the problem,

Chris1234567890 · 19/12/2016 23:35

"Refraining from making any constructive contributions to the thread in favour of endlessly banging on about "salt", or chipping in just to spurt coffee down your nose and wet yourself is not edifying either Chris."

Oooh, squishy my follower has popped up, (have you been waiting all day squishy? I was on late shifts last week and this week Im finishing by 10pm, so you dont need to watch all day tomorrow)

As always, first correction of the evening, I havent mentioned 'salt' anywhere. You lose before you even start, when you make up what posters say as you go along squishy.
